ROI: an efed is a fantasy role-play wrestling game. To play the game you create your own wrestler who is then booked into matches with other members, the winner of the match is based on the role-plays done by both people in the match. A role-play is a promo for your wrestler, like Triple H’s weekly speeches in the ring or Undertakers old speeches in a graveyard, to win a match you have to write a promo yourself and the best one out of the two will win the match.
Like a real wrestling federation your wrestler will be involved in story lines, angles and feuds. There are also championships that are on the line so when you have reached a certain level you will be able to challenge for them. Your progression in ROI will be based on the quality and improvements of your role-plays.
Matches at ROI are judged by RP’s. If your RP better then your opponent then you will win the match. By better it does not mean more, ROI strongly believes in quality over quantity so please do not try to ensure yourself a win by posting twice the amount of RP’s as your opponent.
When joining or changing your wrestlers gimmick please take a few minutes to look around and ensure that your wrestler is not too similar to someone else’s.
If you know you won’t RP for the next show please let the owners now as soon as possible. We do not care if you are not RP’ing just because you cannot be bothered, we just want to know if you don’t plan to so we can replace you on the card to give your opponent a match. The same goes if you are no longer active in the fed, just PM one of the owners to let them know your no longer wanting to be part of ROI.
Owners will decide matches and feuds for the shows, they will inform of the feud ideas for you and work with you on them. The owners need the must control over the feuds and matches to make sure they are all level matches.
Be realistic, your character is your own to do what you want with but remember there has to be some limits. In role-plays never have your character murder, rape, set themselves on fire etc. Your character is a wrestler, not Superman. This also counts when creating your character, we will not accept wrestlers who claim to be 9ft tall or 700pounds
If your character has a gimmick then your are committed to it, no more gimmick changes every month, it makes you look foolish, your character doesn't develop and it takes your RP'ing skills back 3 paces as you have to learn to RP as something totally new.
If your in a stable then you commit to that stable for at least a month, honestly unless its a big screw job angle you've planned out, then being in a stable for less then a month is stupid.
Do not request a stip for every match you have, the more they are used the less special they become so they will be saved for bigger matches.
There is a certain amount of 'do' paying and time you have to put into the place before you can start demanding things. Everyone started at the bottom and got better as time went on, as you get better at RP'ing the higher you will get here but you have to wait and work to improve yourself first.
Understand that titles, stips and gimmick changes are not what will make a name for you here. Your RP’s are what we base whom you face and what matches you are in on.
Nagging the owners about when results or cards will go up does not get things done quicker. Remember that the owners have lives to and so cannot dedicate 100% of their time to the efed. Also, they do not want to be knee deep in people with demands for stuff every time they log into AIM, MSN or other online chat programs.
If you have ideas for a match or feud with your character feel free to let the owners know, if you do not understand these rules and guidelines feel free to ask in the general discussion thread on the main ROI board.
You play a important roll in the ROI, without the role-players there would be no ROI so let us know things you would like to see happen and remember it’s all for fun so don’t take things too personally.
