Psalm 25:1-25:21
Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which trangress without cause.
Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy loving kindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.
Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgement: and the meek will reach his way.
All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
For thy name's sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

The air is crisp and it seems like it did when he was younger and less receptive to such things. The Reverend walked up upon his old house, crippled by time but as far as he could remember it was crippled when he lived there. As though struck by lightening the past shot through him and sent a few shivers down his arms and his hairs stood up high and caused a sight that seemed so unnatural but caused a sort of comforting feeling as well. As he walked quickly past his barn he saw his old friends backyard and the old rusty trampoline placed out back there. The memories started to flow again and he became entranced and he wanted to feel the old thing one last time, the fence blocked his way, the metal railing seemed once to be higher and he quickly latched onto the top and hopped over in one single bound and landed upon the other side. As he walked slowly the grass seemed to crack and crumple beneath his shoes and he could remember very clearly what use to take place in this very arena. A slew of memories began to poort out and he could see him and a bunch of his friends coming out to their theme music and the crowd would scream there names and he could here them calling his name though when in this arena they were merely imaginary. He remember the matches the many tag, singles, and the one battle royal that took place, he remembered the battle royal all to well. Then as soon as it connected and his memories of that day started to lapse over with his match coming up at the ppv, he heard a crumple of the grass but this time it was not him and as he turned around he saw his old friend who was known only as Leo back in the days of there Federation.
Leo: Rev. is that you, wow man so you finally got your name officially established? Where have you been man whats been going on?
Reverend: Well alot actually and alot is on my mind, and you could say that I've been gone due to Gods will, I would like to talk a bit more, is the diner still open up town?
Leo: Yea of course!
The walk there was silent, unlike most of their walks this one seemed more real and important then those endless conversations as teenagers. The Reverend remembered so much as each house passed by one by one, he was thrown into a surreal existence that seemed more real then the one he thought he knew so well. They made their way to the diner and up to the door, it squeaked just like he had heard it so many times before. A hostess greeted the both of them kindly and then directed them to a booth seat in the far corner of the place because they both had requested a quiet spot for conversation. That sat down and both of them jittered a bit due to the cold unused seats, they got comfy ordered a couple sodas to start out. The Reverend looked across the way at Leo and skeptisized on exactly where he should start on what all has happened and why exactly he was back in town. But quickly as he became puzzled he was taken by surprize by Leo's initiative.
Leo: So why did you want to talk so bad? Is something wrong?
Reverend: Dad is getting worse and I basically am here for him but have realized I need this more then originally thought. Im here to get in touch with what made me what I am today and I hope to evolve with the knowledge and grow in ways that I never could alone. Thats sort of why when I saw you I wanted to talk with you, your a link to what made me, me. Now as for where I have been well I finished out my years in the Christian College and tried to start up my own ministry but after awhile I didn't feel like I was doing what God wanted and I was flipping through the channels and saw some guys wrestling and like God spoke to me, without words I knew instantly that this is where I needed to be. He sent me to punish those pathetic sinners and chastize them for their constant, repetitive ignorance. And well that is sort of to a degree why I am here an where I have been for so long.
Leo: So let me get this straight, God sent you to wrestling federation? Well whatever, you were always the religious one you would know better then I about such things.
Reverend: Well it is now my mission and now my mission has sort of come to a couple points, but I do not want to rush them both at once so maybe I should just tell you of one then before I unleash the one that holds alot more at stake.
Leo: Alright, sounds good! So shoot! Whats been on that mind of yours?
Reverend: Well if you remember when we were younger we had our fed and that last and final match was a battle royal for respect and nothing more. We had finally decided that the fed was dead and needed a proper burial and it seemed to be the only good way to end it. I remember it all so well, the sun beating down on me the music playing and even the smell, so distinct yet so subtle at the time. We were in there for 20 minutes with a three minute count and one by one we tore eachother till no more could be taken. Do you remember it?
Leo: How could I not?! When it was just me and you who stood in the end of that match, and you showed me the true meaning of wrestling till there isnt anymore but will to go on. But im confused, what does this have to do with anything, I mean we were just kids and everything and we were just having fun for the most part. How could such a minute thing when we were younger help you in your upcoming match or whatever your speaking of?
Reverend: It has everything to do with it, At the PPV Wrestlefest I will be going up against the whole roster of Valor in an attempt at getting a shot at world gold and I need this shot for numerous reasons which I will discuss with you later but right now I need to conscentrate on all the poor souls in this match. They all are going to be bringing their best skills to that ring in hopes of becoming the next Valor World Champ and I cannot allow such ignorant imbeciles hold such things any longer for they know not what they are doing, they merely gawk and stare at the prize as if they were children with a new toy. The problem is not in the knowledge of what I know I have to do but the capability in which to past Gods constant tests in hope of showing him he chose the right man for this mission.
Leo: Dont you even remember what you taught me before the match when we were kids, even then you knew what needed to be done and you had a want to win that far exceeded the normal. You told me before the match the key to these types of matches is all about the eyes and body, you said body language and constant eye contact would be the key to the victory if I wanted it bad enough. You could have never been more right and thats why in the end you and I stood before all and showed them what true wrestling was about. Don't you remember or do you need me to tell you?
The Reverend became distracted by those word and attempted to reconstruct the memory Leo had just spoke of. He felt dumbfounded as he could not seem to recall his own wisdom which he had passed to Leo. His eyes began to glaze over as he stared at the table in disbelief of his own forgetfullness, he had completely lost most of his past over time and was realizing quickly that maybe his Dads illness was more of a blessing in disguise, but could he capitalize on the knowledge or would he be too embarrassed to admit his own lack of knowledge and suck up the pride he once held so dear or would he merely let it drift farther away then he had already let it go. He pondered this for a moment before Leo realized that he had no knowledge of such an event and Leo was all to eager to relive that moment to help an old friend even though it was his friends advice to begin with.
Leo: No worries man, I remember it vividly because such a lesson could also help you in life. Like I said, you told me the eyes and the body were the keys to this sort of match, no matter what these were your true advantages. The eyes were your first lesson, you said you call tell all by a persons eyes, their true intentions and when they planned on unleashing them, you could see a minor friend in someone or even know that a certain person is scared and at a disadvantage. You could see who was out to make a quick friend and who was out for themselves. You said once I knew their intentions I knew who I good trust for a little while and who could not be trusted at all. And then you said the eyes also should be quick and agile even more so then your body in this match. You said I need to watch everyone closely after scanning for their true intentions and learning a quick over view of them. You taught me how to read people by what they said with their eyes and that was something I have carried with me forever and has helped me alot more in the world then that match.
Reverend: I told you all that? I can't believe something like that slipped me, I mean it makes perfect sense about the eyes and though I remember having such knowledge I don't remember telling you or even why I forgot such things.
Leo: Well you did but anyways would you like to hear about the rest of it or did I jog your memory enough yet?
Reverend: No!, please tell me more, you are helping more then you ever could imagine.
Leo: Ok, the second thing you stressed was body and body language, you told me many of times it would save my ass from being seriously injured. You always told me to imagine myself dancing in a crowd of people, you have one partner and you try not to bump anyone else. You said I should keep my eye on them for changing of partners or even a try at cutting in. You said that if I could stay with one partner as long as possible my chances would not neccessarily be better, I needed to watch all dancers and find the ones less skilled then I and show them how to dance and when they finally understood, show off and win the mini contest I started. You always said that some would be better then I but when they had become weak and started to trail their partner is when I should show off a bit because I had stamina to keep me going. You always made things so simple to understand and you made perfect sense though sometimes you seemed to speak in tongues.
Reverend: Like a dance, that makes perfect sense, I can't believe how much I knew when I was younger. Its amazing that all of this had eluded me till now and with your help I may actually be able to pull off this match against the Valor Roster. You have given me my life back in so many ways, I'm starting to get why God sent me back hear and why he chose me. I had so much wisdom before I tried to become something that I wasnt neccesarily meant to be, atleast not in the same intention. I know now what I have to do and I know now what I am capable of, come Wrestlefest I will be crowned number 1 contender of the Valor World Championship and let any man who stand in my way be struck down by Gods fist and be shown the true vengeance of a jealous God!
Leo: Oh, one more thing.
Reverend: What is it?
Leo: You said trust no one, because friends are foes and foes are friends but a victory will always stay true to the winner. Now what was other match or whatever that you wanted to speak on?
