We come into focus looking into the bright sun. It is very hot and humid out. We are in Fresno, California. We are on top of a business building. Cars are honking as they drive down the slam packed roads. The engines on the sportier cars are revving up as they find a way around some of the traffic. We then take a look on top of the building and we see a man sitting in a fold out chair. He has a cardboard box resting next to him. He has a glass of water. There is ice floating at the top of the glass. As the ice melts from the hot sun the water oozes down the side of the glass. It makes contact with the cardboard box and each time weakening the box. We notice the man in the chair is Valor superstar Immune. He has his legs propped up and is in a pair of swimming trunks. He is wearing black sunglasses to block out the sun. He is getting an even roasted tan on his body. He is sweaty on the abdominal area as well as his face. He wipes some of the sweat off his head. He looks up and sees us looking at him. He begins to speak.
Immune: This is some real heat. The sun is baking my skin every minute. I am getting darker and darker as the clock ticks. I happen to sweat more and more as each car goes zooming by. You see I am up here getting a nice tan for one reason. I am getting a tan so I look good after my victory against the man known as “The Prodigal Messiah” Eric Hardcastle this Sunday on Slam. Not to mention it is going to be my first title reign as the North American Champion. It is going to be my first title match since I beat Creeper for it. You see I am a winner. I have only had one title shot and I was able to capture it with only one try. I proved to the world that the NA Champion was nothing but a fluke. I showed the world what a real man can do in the ring and with that I became the new NA Champion.
Immune sits up on the folding chair. He reaches under the chair and we find a black suitcase. He grabs the handle on the suitcase and sets the briefcase on his lap. He unbuckles the latches on the briefcase and opens it up. He turns the briefcase around so we could see what is inside it. The sun reflects off the very shiny gold plate on the front of the NA Championship that is lying in the briefcase. He then begins to speak.
Immune: Now as you glare into the brightness that reflects off the gold sheet on this leather sheet you will notice under the title name, NA Championship, the name of the champion at the current time. As you look closer at the belt it clearly spells out Immune as the NA Champion. I am branded as one of the top contender s of Valor when I hold this title around my waist. You see I became this champion with dedication and hard work. After I became the champion I decided to change myself a lot and unite myself with the most dominant force in Valor known as the Impact Players. As of now and even after this week’s version of Slam, The Impact Players are still going to be holding all the gold of Valor. They have put people before me, and all of you have seen me fall and get defeated. Except that was when I was weak. That was when I actually cared how the fans felt about my presence in Valor. Now none of the fans matter, the only people I got to impress is my fellow partners Bailey and Sin City Saint.
Immune lays the briefcase on the ground. He reaches down and picks up the belt out of the briefcase. He puts the belt over his shoulder. He reaches to the side and picks up a napkin that is resting under the glass of water. He dabs the napkin in the water and then dabs the water on the belt. He smears the belt with the water to gather all the dirt off his title. He then crumbles up the napkin and tosses it over the building’s edge. He picks up his glass of water and takes a drink. He sets the glass back down in the exact spot. The glass begins to slip through the cardboard, because the cardboard is getting weakened from the water. He begins to speak.
Immune: As we look at the glass of water and the soaked cardboard box it makes us wonder. When is the box finally going to give way and let the glass hit the ground and shatter? We think about that and also take that into consideration when we talk about Hardcastle’s career. This man has been in wrestling for many years. He was a stud in his prime days don’t get me wrong on that. Eventually time moves on and so should you, Eric! You have done it all and now it is time you pack your bags and leave forever. Your skills were miraculous when you were in your prime but now they aren’t what they used to be. Your punches and kicks don’t affect the opponents the same way. Your love life has become business here in Valor. Wouldn’t you want to just call it quits and live happily ever after with Brittany. You have caused the Impact Players so much pain, when you faked your death it wasn’t even funny.
Immune lays the belt back into the briefcase. He rubs a towel over the top of the golden plate of the title and then closes the lid on the briefcase. He latches the buckles on the briefcase to secure the safety of it. He then slides the title back under the chair and begins to speak again.
Immune: Eric, your come back was miraculous. You had us all fooled thinking you were dead. You were able to freak out the world champion with your return. You actually freaked the whole world out, even me. Now that you are back in Valor you feel you will rule the company like you used to. Think again! This place isn’t going to be run by you anymore. You aren’t going to be in the spotlight every card. You are going to start at the bottom of the ladder and work your way up just like everyone else. You don’t control Valor anymore, you aren’t the top dog. The top dog is none other than the Valor World Champion Brandon Bailey.
Immune then lays back down but turning over onto his belly. His face is facing the camera as he lays there soaking up the suns rays on his back. He places his fingertips in the water and flicks the cold water on his back. He crosses his arms under his chin and begins to speak again.
Immune: Hardcastle when the two of us step into the ring again it is going to make history. We are going to have two icons of Valor wrestling fighting it out for one prize and that is my NA Championship. We are going to rock the house and explode the roof off of the arena. We are going to give the fans what they have been wanting for a long time. That is the rematch of Hardcastle vs. Immune. The first time you caught me off guard with one hell of an upset. I give you your props, I underestimated you. This time I will not. I know the skills you got to bring to the table and I know you got a few new ones up your sleeve. So I got to be ready for the most unexpected impact in my career. Except no one makes quite an impact like the Impact Players. We know all about how to make an impact and I plan on showing the world the impact I can bring when I face you one on one for the biggest prize under my stats as a professional wrestler. The North American Championship!
Immune picks up his glass of water and takes a sip of water. He places the glass back down on the wet spot and the glass goes crashing through the box. We hear the glass shatter inside the box. Immune then sits up and places his sunglasses on the top of his head. He lifts the box and we see many shards of glass lying on the ground. Immune crouches down and picks up a shard of glass and holds it in his hand presenting it to the camera. He then begins to speak.
Immune: I guess it was time for the cardboard to give way. No matter how tough the material is, there is always something that weakens it. As the water hit the box the box got weaker and weaker. Just like, as Hardcastle’s blood hits the mat he is going to become weaker and weaker. The glass shattered and is in a million and some pieces. There is no reviving this glass into a whole. Just like, Hardcastle’s career after our match this Sunday on Slam. You say you are tougher than death. You are the Prodigal Messiah. You are the man of the hour. You are the icon that made his return. You are a….joke! I will prove that to the world. No matter how many nicknames you are giving, no matter how the fans support you, none of that matters when you step into the ring with me. I am going to ruin your career and shoot for ruining your life. I am dedicating this match to the true icon of this sport, Brandon Bailey.
He stands up and grabs the briefcase from under the chair. He grasps the handle in his hand and grabs the towel and throws it over his shoulder. He walks over to the door on the far side of the building’s rooftop. He opens the door and swings it open. He walks through it without ever looking back. The door then slams shut. The camera fades as we look at the exit door of the rooftop. We cut to commercial.
