We see a man sitting along side the street on the curbside. The man is holding a bottle that is wrapped in a brown paper bag. He lifts the bottle up and takes a drink. he places the bottle on the ground between his legs. The streetlight above him lights up and we see it is VWA superstar Voodoo. He has his head down as if he was sad about something. He then looks up at the sunset. He lifts the bottle up to his lips once again and takes a sip. He looks over at us and waves us over. We walk up to him and have a set right next to him. He then places the bottle on the ground again. He raises his hands and places them on his head. He then gets a hand full of his black hair and begins to pull at it. He then pulls out a couple hand fulls of his outer hair. He then shows us his hands and we see the hair lying in his hands. He then clamps his hands together and begins to speak.
Voodoo: You see what you do to me? Do you even care? I bet you don’t. Dinero all you do is go out every night and fight amateurs. This Thursday is your first test to be in the ring with a real man. You are a big man picking on little kids in the ring. You are going to come face to face with the devil himself. I am going to put your body through so much pain you wont be able to handle it. You are going to tap out to the pain and allow me to pin you for the three count in the middle of the ring. Then my legacy begins. No longer will people look at me and talk down on me. No longer will people point and laugh at my existence. When I step into a room, I will get the applause and respect I so surely deserve. For this to happen, I must beat Dinero.
Voodoo picks up the bottle once again and takes another drink. He is sweating a lot so he wipes the sweat off his forehead. He then brings the bottle up to his lips again. Only this time he doesn’t allow the alcohol to enter his mouth. He has his eyes looking directly at us like a hawk. He then lowers the bottle and holds it between his legs. He then looks at us with his head cocked to one side. He then gets a frustrating look on his face and begins to raise his voice as he talks.
Voodoo: It is people like you that don’t recognize great talent. It is people like you that will make people like Dinero in the Valor Hall of Fame someday. People like you need to straighten up and recognize talent when it smacks you in the face. I go out every week and put my body, my soul, on the line just to entertain all of you. Why do I do it? Honestly I have no idea. I do it because of the rush I get in the ring. I do it to become something I have always wanted to be. A Superstar. It is people like you that make me pull my own hair out. You people are the ones that make me feel stupid for getting into this profession. The only reason I am here is because I love the contact, the blood, and even the bruises. I love everything about the sport and I plan on becoming a legend.
Voodoo then tosses the bottle across the dead street. The bottle lands in a dumpster that must be empty. The sound was heard and echoed over the streets. The bottle crashed into the bottom of the dumpster and made a shattering sound. Voodoo then stands up and wraps his arm around the streetlight poll standing right next to him. With his other arm he points at us and begins talking.
Voodoo: People like you are the ones that make my blood stay boiling. People like you are the ones that keep me going. You are the people that cause me to withstand the punishment my opponents put on me. People like you are the ones that stride me to win. Just to prove you all wrong. That is the point I am in this business. Not to make friends or be accepted into a family. I am in this business to win and prove others wrong. The #1 person on my list to prove wrong right now is none other than my opponent at Thunder. Dinero. He sits in the back and talks about how this match is going to be a squash match. Well Dinero you have another thing coming. I am going to beat you and you are going to be the first step on the ladder to success. I am going to step on your ego and be balanced well enough to make it up to step #2.
Voodoo then swings around the poll. He lets go and begins walking down the street as he has headlights from cars flashing on him. He then turns around and cups his mouth and yells out.
Voodoo: Tomorrow Night! My Thunder will be rolling through your town Dinero and you might want to watch out for what comes after Thunder. My Lightning Strike.
Voodoo then turns around and continues walking down the street. He then turns left and walks into a hotel building. We look up at the hotel sign. Motel 6. We then turn around and look at the dumpster. We walk over to it and look inside and see the broken glass. We then back away and cut to commercial. While we are fading we hear a car horn blaring.
