I Samuel 17:4-51, II Samuel 5:1-3
4 A champion named Goliath, who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp. He was over nine feet tall.
5 He had a bronze helmet on his head and wore a coat of scale armor of bronze weighing five thousand shekels ;
6 on his legs he wore bronze greaves, and a bronze javelin was slung on his back.
7 His spear shaft was like a weaver's rod, and its iron point weighed six hundred shekels. His shield bearer went ahead of him.
8 Goliath stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, "Why do you come out and line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not the servants of Saul? Choose a man and have him come down to me.
9 If he is able to fight and kill me, we will become your subjects; but if I overcome him and kill him, you will become our subjects and serve us."
10 Then the Philistine said, "This day I defy the ranks of Israel! Give me a man and let us fight each other."
11 On hearing the Philistine's words, Saul and all the Israelites were dismayed and terrified.
12 Now David was the son of an Ephrathite named Jesse, who was from Bethlehem in Judah. Jesse had eight sons, and in Saul's time he was old and well advanced in years.
13 Jesse's three oldest sons had followed Saul to the war: The firstborn was Eliab; the second, Abinadab; and the third, Shammah.
14 David was the youngest. The three oldest followed Saul,
15 but David went back and forth from Saul to tend his father's sheep at Bethlehem.
16 For forty days the Philistine came forward every morning and evening and took his stand.
17 Now Jesse said to his son David, "Take this ephah of roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread for your brothers and hurry to their camp.
18 Take along these ten cheeses to the commander of their unit. See how your brothers are and bring back some assurance from them.
19 They are with Saul and all the men of Israel in the Valley of Elah, fighting against the Philistines."
20 Early in the morning David left the flock with a shepherd, loaded up and set out, as Jesse had directed. He reached the camp as the army was going out to its battle positions, shouting the war cry.
21 Israel and the Philistines were drawing up their lines facing each other.
22 David left his things with the keeper of supplies, ran to the battle lines and greeted his brothers.
23 As he was talking with them, Goliath, the Philistine champion from Gath, stepped out from his lines and shouted his usual defiance, and David heard it.
24 When the Israelites saw the man, they all ran from him in great fear.
25 Now the Israelites had been saying, "Do you see how this man keeps coming out? He comes out to defy Israel. The king will give great wealth to the man who kills him. He will also give him his daughter in marriage and will exempt his father's family from taxes in Israel."
26 David asked the men standing near him, "What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?"
27 They repeated to him what they had been saying and told him, "This is what will be done for the man who kills him."
28 When Eliab, David's oldest brother, heard him speaking with the men, he burned with anger at him and asked, "Why have you come down here? And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the desert? I know how conceited you are and how wicked your heart is; you came down only to watch the battle."
29 "Now what have I done?" said David. "Can't I even speak?"
30 He then turned away to someone else and brought up the same matter, and the men answered him as before.
31 What David said was overheard and reported to Saul, and Saul sent for him.
32 David said to Saul, "Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him."
33 Saul replied, "You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a boy, and he has been a fighting man from his youth."
34 But David said to Saul, "Your servant has been keeping his father's sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock,
35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it.
36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.
37 The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine."
Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you."
38 Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head.
39 David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them.
"I cannot go in these," he said to Saul, "because I am not used to them." So he took them off.
40 Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd's bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine.
41 Meanwhile, the Philistine, with his shield bearer in front of him, kept coming closer to David. 42 He looked David over and saw that he was only a boy, ruddy and handsome, and he despised him.
43 He said to David, "Am I a dog, that you come at me with sticks?" And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
44 "Come here," he said, "and I'll give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!"
45 David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
46 This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I'll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.
47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands."
48 As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him.
49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.
50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.
51 David ran and stood over him. He took hold of the Philistine's sword and drew it from the scabbard. After he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword.
1 All the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, "We are your own flesh and blood.
2 In the past, while Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel on their military campaigns. And the LORD said to you, 'You will shepherd my people Israel, and you will become their ruler.' "
3 When all the elders of Israel had come to King David at Hebron, the king made a compact with them at Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over Israel.

Reverend knocked upon the door to his dads room, his thoughts began to race as he hurse the nurse stirring and making her way out and to answer the door. His thoughts were not only upon his victory over Zmaster and Pohatu which he had brought the belt to show his father, but also his thoughts were upon the what Leo had said to him at the end of their talk, about all the stuff he could not remember doing or saying. On top of all that he had still not gotten around to seeing his mother and sister, which he had promised so purely to do for his dad. He had procrastinated, he did not wish to see them just yet, but guilt fell over him for the promise that seem to have been broken even though he never promised when he would go see them and soon could mean anything since he had not visited them in forever. The nurse finally was up and at the door, he could see her peek her eye through the peep hole and immediately realized it was Shadow, she opened the door quickly and gave him a great big hug, which caught him by surprise but also comforted him for the moment because the guilt had almost gotten the best of him as he waited at the door.
Nurse: We saw you on TV, at the Wrestlefest, I want to congratulate you on your victory! Your Father and I were yelling and stuff, it was amazing to see someone I knew take out two men and win his match, Great Job! Oh yea, your prolly wanting to see your Father now arent you? Is that your new belt in your hand, by the way?
Reverend: Yes it is and yes I would like to see my Father is he awake?
Nurse: Yes he is and Im sure he will be thrilled to see you, again Congratulations!
Reverend: Thank you very much....
He then let go of her embrace and walked down the way towards his fathers bed, as he walked away he gave her one last genuine smile due to the pride he had for his victory but mostly because of her congratulatory words. As he walked in the room and saw the huge smirk on his Fathers face he knew that he would have to try his best not to lower the high moral this visit had to offer the both of them. His match at Wrestlefest would surely come up and of course his upcoming title defense would also, but he decided he needed to try his best to not bring up mom or sis.
Father: Well...Well...Well...How are you Champ!
His father still had that smirk on his face but with those words it grew into a huge smile and with opened arms they greeted eachother. Reverend then grabbed a chair from the corner of the room and scooted it up next to the bed and then sat his newly won title on the bed next to his dad, so that he may see it if he wishes. He then sat there in silence while his father picked up the belt and looked at it in awe. His Father then spoke to him in a gentle yet prideful tone that sent shivers down the Reverend's spine.
Father: Congratulations! Its so funny to think sometimes that you use to wrestle on a trampoline for fun and now you are wrestling in the big leagues and for a purpose. I think its great and I'm very proud of you, so what brings you this way again so soon, or did you just wish to show me this belt?
Reverend: I did wish to show you the belt, I also wished to talk about a few personal issues with you one including my upcoming title defense against this guy by the name of Tha CBT.
Father: Well, lets get started then, you need help with things and I want to feel like a Father again.(comical voice)
Reverend: Ok, where to start, oh yea! I'm so glad you have been keeping up with my career in wrestling and I am even happier that you are proud of me. I've been working so hard to get where I am and I have achieved quite a bit I think. Before my latest matches I got to talk with Leo, you remember him right?
Father: Of course I do, you two were inseperable during your teenage years, hows he been?
Reverend: Hes alright....We talked about old times and stuff of that nature and I began to realize how little I truly remember and although I did not let this cross my mind in the ring at Wrestlefest, it now has got me thinking about things since I have a bit of time. I dont know what has happened to my memory or why it seems that past a certain point I only remember minute and minor points opposed to remember all or atleast as much as normal people would. I find my thoughts have become more vivid but my memories have in turned faded and rusted away to the point where only fragments lie. Leo said something about me having stressed related issues in the past and having problems with pessimism and worry but I do not remember such things.....
His Father looked into his eyes, which seemed to set the whole scene on pause and they both were silent and still. His father reached out for his hand and Reverend replied by reaching forward as well, his father then grasped it with firm yet gentle hold. He then spoke again to his son with a bit of understanding that lacked understanding as if he knew the problem but yet he did not know why it existed.
Father: You have had your problems in your past but you must not focus on that now, fore if you do you will lose that self control and confidence you have now and will not be able to defend which that, that you had won in the name of our Lord. Now please son, speak upon your upcoming match and not of this at the moment. You should only resolve that which is a hassle, never anything that is not.
The Reverend stayed quiet for a second, soaking up all his father had just said. He thought to himself, had this become a hassle, what about the girl Leo mentioned and how bout all those forgotten memories. Why has he lost so much, but should he remember or would that only cause a variable onslaught of trouble only to accompanied by loss after loss and failing his Father and God. He couldnt do that! He must stay strong! This time the Reverend spoke on the topic of his title defense coming up and in a prideful yet unconceited voice he spoke to his dad.
Reverend: Tha CBT is a descent adversary and he has proven to many his skills and his style is one of a kind. After the matchest at the Pay Per View I'm still a little sore but in my mind I am ready to go and do God's bidding. He's a very outgoing and cocky man with a conceited grin that could make the Satan look of a Saint. I don't think he will pose much of a threat to my title but some believe that he could come out of nowhere and take the very thing I fought so hard to keep from their sinful eyes and hands. If another man, besides a man of god, gets ahold of this title the Idoltry will arise within this Idol once again and I cannot allow that! His ignorance and impatience to make his way to the top shall be his very fall.
Father: I think you have the right mindset, but can your body on the outside what you soul within is sure it can do. I mean do you have the courage to put yourself on the line after your brutal two matches at Wrestlefest?
Reverend: I , like Jesus did, shall over come these trials and I will find my way to save them all! I cannot fail him, I do not wish to be looked down upon in shame fore I could not bear the quest which he hath given unto me.
The Reverend stopped instantly and his head knelt down, memories thrusted threw his head quickly, and for an instance he knew all that which he had lost and thought would be gone forever but even though he seemed to be there, he wasnt. He felt trapped beneath the skin for the moment and as he was trapped and was scanning through the past he had thought gone. An echoe of his voice thundered in him and thought he could not stop the words, he heard and understood them all to well.
Reverend: He is no match for me, in the ring or our, his inferior rhetorical existence shall be excluded from my mission quickly and efficiently. I have no time for the naive attempts of such an imbecile nor will I allow myself to fall before him. He shall feel my wrath like none before him, a man who stands in my way is a pawn about ready to be taken by a knight of the King of Heaven. I will float through this fog of my constant painstaking endeavors but I will also understand that those that do not stop me will only come back for vengeance, unknowing that I have not true quarrel with them personally but of their sheep like nature and ignorant way of that which they cannot help. Dismantling the thing know as CBT will be interesting and a lesser challenge then the previous, I know how his kind think, and I know how to counter act such common repetitive idiocracy in action. Upon the souls of those before him, he shall fall and be greeted with seering and burning of which no mortal body shall feel. I have seen the future and I know the past and in this present I shall rule over this place and the pathetic rodent within the maze called Valor. All rushing to get the Golden cheese yet all are untrained and know not the route in which they must take to make it to that tasty and rewarding end. But if they had known that its smell was a decoy and had sunk their teeth truly into like I have, they would no longer want its rotten and disguting innards. I shall become their senses of direction and I shall become a viral strain that cuts their senses off and leaves them helpless and running into the walls. CBT will feel the walls like never before, though he is so close he shall quite quickly become in enthralled by all that he cannot see nor smell, feeling his way helplessly everywhere, only to find no help and no reward in the end of his journey. Such petty thoughts of victory can only be sumed as just what it is, petty thoughts...........
In an instance just as before his head fell and he almost collapse and fell right off the chair. Reverend caught himself and now back in control of his body he lost all thought of what he had said and what the memories within him held. He knew not what to say as his Father looked on him in extreme surprise and wonder at what had just happened and what exactly his son had been speaking of.
Father: Are you ok? What happened?
Reverend: I don't know, I can't remember anything, I must be going. I'm sorry to leave so soon but I have to go and now!
Reverend jumped up, grabbed the title and kissed and hugged his Father goodbye and as he ran out he said by to both the nurse and his father. Finally outside of the building his stood for a second up against the outside wall. Scene Fades Out.........
OOC: ok i know this rp is kind of short but I feel like its also a strong rp....I didnt really go into explanation of the verses of the bible I chose but if you think real hard about them you should get what I was comparing and implying...I am really excited about this match b/c CBT is a good friend of mine and I cant wait to see how this works out...We both said we were going to go all out for this match and I feel like I lived up to that and I hope he does as well...as usual comments and critism are welcome...thnx bunches...
