Fade in. We find ourselves walking down a large corridor. The walls of this hall are painted a conservative shade of brown, and mix well with the dark green tile hugging the floor. The corridor is completely vacant, no one in habits it, there are no decorations. At each end there is a large, wooden door. We continue walking towards the end of the hall. As we approach one of the wooden doors, it slowly begins to creak open. We stop, waiting, anticipating who or what will emerge from behind the door. As the door slowly gives way to light, we can see a figure emerging. He crosses to the other side of the door and pushes it shut. As it creaks shut, the outside light is obliterated and we are left once more under the aura of the artificial light bulb. We stare at the figure, and slowly, his features begin to unlock and we can make out messy blonde hair. The figure two has stopped moving, and now stands, in front of the door, staring back at us, scrutinizing us and shaping us. Suddenly, his movement begins again, as he begins to walk towards us. We move to the side as he passes us. The moment he pulls up right beside us, he stops once more. Staring towards the other end of the hall, he runs a hand through his blonde hair. Like a knife cutting a thread his voice cuts the silence.
Saku: It was nearly a year ago when I came to this country. It was nearly one year ago that I thrust myself deep into the depths of this business, desperately hoping that I would be able to crack it, and hit it big. For one year I have fought, tooth and claw, for one year I have shed more blood, sweat and tears than I ever had. One year ago, to be in the situation I was would mean nothing. It would have been just another match, just another faceless name to beat. But now, now it is more than a mountain to climb, now it is my defining moment.
You see, one year ago, when I cam to the States, eager to make it in the big time, I knew nothing. I did not know who was big, I did not know who had respect, I did not know my limits. But it came to me. Very quickly it came. I saw people capture titles, I saw people give their all to win, and slowly I realized how it worked over here. And then, there was Z Master.
When I first signed a contract, it was Z Master who put it before me, the WFWF champion, the WFWF owner, the pinnacle of this industry. After that moment I did not feel much for Z Master, I saw to merely be the person I would someday beat to steal his championship, now, one year later, I finally understand.
Z Master is possibly and probably the most hardworking man in this industry, hell, he’s a legend. To say that I have not spent the last few months looking up to this man would be a lie. To say that I feel worthy in his presence would be a lie. To me, Z Master is no longer a mountain, no longer an obstacle, but merely the person I respect most in this business. This match, this Sunday is more than a dream to me, it is, as I said before, my defining moment. To think that I could defeat Z Master and crawl my way into the hall of fame is more than my mind can handle, yet I feel I am ready, I feel it is my time to prove to the world, and to Z Master that Saku is here to stay.
As for you Z Master, when we step into the ring, it is not personal, it is not a fight to the end, it is a wrestling match, and for me it is an honor and a privilege, so Z Master, bring you’re a game, because I assure you I will make you use it.
There is not much left to say Z Master. For me this is a dream come true, and I hope, at the end of the day, win or lose, it will be one that you will not soon forget. Saku and Z Master will enter the history books of Valor.
And Immune, if you even think about showing your face to interfere with my dream, I will ensure that you will not make it to Halloween Hooros, mark my words.
By this time we have both turned to be looking at each other once more. Pausing for a moment, Saku then runs his hand through his hair once more before taking a deep breath and continuing down the hallway. We begin to follow him, but then stop, as the large wooden door creaks shut behind him. Fade to black.
