[Fade In]
[The camera zooms in on the Valor Junior Heavyweight Championship. The championship belt shines so bright, a sparkle can actually be heard tingling off the belt. The camera zooms back, as the championship belt is being proudly warn by its new owner, Shane Quickenbosh. A huge smile, from one ear to the next, is plastered across his face. His eyes widen with joy and his fists clenched tight. Shane pats the title across his waist and looks directly into the camera.]
Quickenbosh:
As you can all see, I have struck gold! I am the new Valor Junior Heavyweight Champion. This past Thunder, I was able to achieve a dream to near and dear to me. I was able to take that next step in my career and defeat Martin Paine for this very championship title. Martin Paine, for whatever the reason, I seem to have your number. Everytime I step into the ring with you, the people get their money's worth. And each and everytime, I get taken to the limit. But for whatever the reason, in the latter stages of the match, I seem to be able pull one out on you. Whatever the reason, maybe just plain luck, I just want to say that anytime you want a rematch for this championship belt........you got it.
[Shane unlatches the belt from behind his waist. He hoists the title over his shoulder.]
Quickenbosh:
Well that was quick! Wrestlefest is upon us this Sunday. And at Wrestlefest, I have my first junior heavyweight title defense. Its a triple threat featuring Martin Paine, Havok and myself. So Martin, you have invoked that rematch clause already. Good for you. And the Valor brass have decided to add Havok to the mix. Even better. I love triple threat matches. Now you might think differently if you were me, considering the champion comes in with a huge disadvantage. I don't have to be involved in the fall in order to lose my title. I guess some would be disheartened over this. Feel like the odds were being stacked against them, heavily. But not me. I take it as another challenge. Another giant challenge, that I must face in the peril of adversity. The triple threat adds an "x" factor. It adds another element to the match, that really get the people excited. And excitement is what its all about. On a stage so grand, as Wrestlefest, 3 men will have the opportunity to showcase their talents. 3 men will vye for the right to be called champion. And 3 men will show the world, why they are the top 3 junior heavyweights in the world today. And once that's complete, I will take the junor heavyweight championship into the Ultimate Battle Royal. No matter the number I select, I will have a chance, an opportunity to main event the big show. I, like 39 others, get that opportunity at the World Heavyweight Championship. While, the junior heavyweight title is great, there is no bigger title than the Valor World Title. Talk about a richness of history. Talk about honor and glory. To become the Valor World Champion is a dream every single wrestler in Valor aspires towards. To be able to call themselves the very best, the big dog, is a greater honor than any other. And like 39 others, I want that chance. I want that opportunity. I have had a shot before and came within inches. Within centimeters or millimeters, even. And now I get a second opportunity to earn this shot. I get a second chance at redemption and I don't plan to let this one slip away on me. I, like 39 others, want that world title shot. But I, unlike 39 others, plan on taking it.
[Shane signals the camera man to follow him, as he walks to his front door. He turns the knob and walks out onto his front porch. Standing outside, with the championship belt, he leans back and takes a deep breath.]
Quickenbosh:
The sun is up and its a new day. A new day has dawned in Valor. And leading the junior heavyweight ranks is me, Shane Quickenbosh. At Wrestlefest, I plan to show Martin Paine and Havok what the new days are going to be like. I plan to show them why they call me "Lightning Quick". I plan to dispel rumors that it was just a catchy nickname. Instead, I intend to prove how factual it truly is. And when its all said and done, I plan on walking out of Wrestlefest with 15 pounds of gold hanging over my shoulder. Martin Paine, Havok........lightning has a habit of striking when you least expect it.
