The Champ Is Here - RP#1[/u]
The scene fades in. Its following The Martin/Havok match from Holiday Havoc, and both men are seen worn out. Martin has the Jr. Title wrapped around his shoulder. He's crawling up the ramp, so exhausted and tired and excited, he can barely stand. Havok's prone body is seen laying on the mat face up, and the referee is checking on him to see if he is alright, to which he nods okay. Martin salutes the crowd as he stumbles up, and finally goes to the back and past the curtain. Its Martin's moment of clarity, and he's thrilled. After months of crying for the belt, he's finally got it. The crowd exploded for him when I got the pinfall on Havok. All the Martin Paine signs on the audience were evident, and with the crowd behind him, Martin had finally done it. He goes to his dressing room, but is stopped by Kris Brians, a young interviewer who is trying to make himself known.
Kris Brians: Ladies and Gentlemen, right now I'm standing here with the BRAND NEW Valor Jr. Heavyweight Champion. Martin, I have to know, how does it feel?
Martin Paine: Who are you anyways? *panting heavy* Ah it doesn't matter. It feels great! I went out there, I did what I had to do, I won, it feels excellent. I had the crowd behind me, it was a grueling 20 minute match, I knew what my mission was going into the match, and I came out victorious. Their was nothing else I could do but *pant* give it my all and it paid off big time.
Kris Brians: Now what were the thoughts going threw your mind when Havok kicked out of all of your signature moves?
Martin Paine: I was overall shocked. I knew that he was tough, but not that tough. When he countered The Ultimate Paine, I was friggin' stunned man. But then I knew I had to kick it into second gear and it worked. Whatever offence he threw it at me I knew I had to counter or atleast kick out of if I wanted to stay in this thing. When he set me up top for his Hurracanranna, I had to think fast. My back was already weary, and I could've swore that if another impact move hit me, I would've been done for. But I countered quick and I showed him that I was no joke. Paines Ruling, 1-2-3, and the first ever Jr. Championship goes to me, Martin Paine.
Martin, with the big gold belt dangling from his wrist, begins to rip off the tape from around his wrist and throw it on the floor. He unstraps his elbow pads and throws them on the floor as well before flinging the belt over his shoulder and holding it close with his left hand.
Martin Paine: I know the giant number of people that want my belt. Theirs a whole bunch of wrestlers in Valor that deserve this belt, but I took it first. The Extremists out there wanted me to become champion, and I have. I'm dedicating this title to all my people out there who believed in me and knew that I would come out victorious in the end of it all. But at the end of the day, VWA can line up every single Jr. Weight in this company and I'll take them all down. Bryan Stinberg, Quickenbosh, Reverend Shadow, Shadow, Darkness, Light, Cream Pies, Rey Mysterio, The guy from Jigsaw, I DON'T CARE! I am here to stay, and I will dominate this division until the day I day. Now I don't know how long I'll hold onto this belt, but I can guarentee that it will be for a very, VERY long time.
Kris Brians: Well before your match, Steven Lynch informed me that regardless of you winning the title or not, you'll be facing Jakyl on Sunday Slam. Now keep in mind, Jakyl isn't a Jr. Weight, but he is a monster that is trying to prove his worth in Valor. Thoughts?
Martin Paine: Jakyl, Jakyl, Jakyl. The only thing that comes to my mind when thinking of a Jakyl is a monster animal who eats plants and small animals. As far as Slam goes, you may be a big animal trying to pick on a small guy like me, but what you lack is the heart and determination. All you want to do is squash your next competitor to make it big and become World Champion. I'm not aiming that high. I'm fine being Jr. Champion, because its a division I know I can master and concur before I head on to the next level of my career - main event status.
Kris Brians: Earlier in the night when Jakyl had found out he was facing you, he had some discouraging words to say to you and the rest of Valor. Take a look...
Martin and Kris turn their heads and their attention to the monitor where they see the Jakyl promo.
[The screen fades into a private section of an upscale bar. Sitting in the leather booth is Valor Superstar, Jackyl. Jackyl is wearing a black leather jacket and has a cold Heineken in his hand. With his pursed lips, he takes a sip and then places the bottle back down on the table. The camera zooms in.]
Jackyl: Enough is enough! I have been in this company for over a month and the brass of this company have seen fit to stick me in tag matches, triple threats and now against some mental midget named Martin Paine. I've had it! I am sick and tired of being on the sidelines. I am sick and tired of being looked down upon. Martin Paine, this Sunday is gonna mark the first day of the rest of my life. It will mark a day that will live in infamy!
[Jackyl pounds his fist on the table.]
Jackyl: I have been used and abused. My talents wasted on a bunch of nobodies of wrestling. A bunch of guys who can't tell a wrist lock from a wrist watch. I am the most technically sound man in this business. But I am not Junior Heavyweight. I am no small timer. I deserve better. I am an impact player and I should be treated accordingly. Martin Paine, this Sunday I will use all my frustrations and all my anger and unleash it upon you. Because enough is enough! Its time for me to take my stand and I do so this Sunday! Martin Paine......The Jackyl is on the hunt. Beware.
[Jackyl stands up from his table. He reaches into his pocket and drops a few dollars on the table, paying for his beer. The screen fades to black, as Jackyl walks out to his car.]
Martin cocks a smile and makes a small laugh as he rubs his hands threw his hair.
Martin Paine: Well, Jackyl feels like his talent was wasted. Well if he wasn't busy GETTING wasted, then maybe, just maybe, he'd have been on cards more often. If he feels too proud to be in common Tags, 3 Way's, or facing guys like me, then maybe he should quit wrestling all together. If he thinks every wrestling promoter out there is going to give him everything on a silver platter, well he was mistaken, atleast in Valor. You have to earn your keep, and thats exactly what I did. I worked my ass off until I couldn't stop walking or my blood dried up so hard I had to practically peel it off my skin, and look where I am. Highlighting PPV card after PPV card, and now walking out of my third ever Valor PPV with a title belt in my hands.
Martin Paine: So he critisizes us for being "nobodies" or not knowing our wrestling holds, eh? Last time I checked, he wasn't main eventing Wrestlemania or winnnig title belts or gold medals for his fantastic skill. All he's done here is be a nobody and lose to guys who are going to make it in this company. Mental Midget is the best insult you got Jakyl? Well some jacked-up jerk-off like yourself wouldn't surprise me as someone who has that much of a brain span anyways. If you believe that this will turn into some sort've quick squash match at Slam, then think again. I may not get you physically due to our sizes, but I surely will get you mentally, where I'll pick you apart and make you my bitch. Problem Jakyl? I think not.
Kris Brians: One last thing before this interview ends, also booked for Slam is a #1 Contenders Match, where Shane Quickenbosh will face the man that you beat out there Havok. Thoughts?
Martin Paine: You know what Kris? I am so tired, but so ready to party with the ladies, that I could care less. Congrats to either man who wins, because I'll be ready to knock them down. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some ladies to attend to.
Martin pushes past Kris and opens his locker room door. To his not-so-surprise, a whole bunch of ladies are surround the room in bikini's. Martin turns around to wink to the camera before ducking back into the room and shutting the door. Kris stands there bedazzled. The scene fades out.
