<The screen zooms in to a shot of the YLC Trophy. "The Next Two Weeks" by Halifax begins playing. Numerous images begin to appear of different participants, including Will Dinero, Steve Castle, Saku, Shane Quickenbosh, Ryan Young, Havok and Pohatu. Freeze frames from Saku's moonsault to Shane Quickenbosh's tope con hilo are shown. A shot of Pohatu and Ryan Young facing off, followed by an Arabian facebuster of Havok's. The screen then fades to ringside, where Kevin Olbermand and Mean Mike Patrick are seated. The 2005 YLC Trophy sits at the announce table.>
K: Welcome everybody to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City New Jersey!!! Welcome to The Semi Finals of The Young Lion's Cup!!! I'll be your host, Kevin Olberman and alongside me is my tag team partner, Mean Mike Patrick.
M: So this is it, Olberman. The final 4.
K: Just like the NCAA, we worked from the Sweet 16, to the Elite 8 and now the Final 4.
M: Can you believe that the highest seed left in the tourny is the 3? 1 and 2 are gone.
K: Shocking, I know. We have a 3, a 4, a 7 and an 8. Quickenbosh/Havok and Castle/Pohatu. So who do you like to the finals?
M: Its tough. Real tough. I'm gonna go with Quickenbosh. He has had a tough road and Havok is just too young to to win this. Experience brings home the victory for Shane.
K: And Castle/Pohatu?
M: Castle has been around for sometime, but I am gonna say Pohatu. It takes a lot to beat the # 1 seed, especially when that seed is Will Dinero. I think Pohatu was destined for this tournament win.
K: Some bold predictions there. VERY BOLD!! Well, lets get right to the action. The Gem and Pohatu. 4 and 8.
<In the ring>
SB: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the semi finals of the 2005 Young Lion's Cup Tournament. Our opening contest is scheduled for one fall and has a 30 minute time limit. Introducing first from Boone, Iowa. He stands 6'0" and weighs 215lbs........................POHATU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
<
As the odd sounding opening of Faint byLinkin' Park, the lights in the arena dimmed down, the lights inside the actual entrance starting to flash between yellow, electric blue,and bright white. As the lyrics first started up, a figure was seenslowly moving out on the entrance, his movements not cocky, yet at the same time showing a certain inner-confidence. The figure stepped outfully onto the stage and turned, his back now fully to the entrance, noone except the people that were right up against the stage able to seehis face. The figure reached up, adjusting his upper clothing before finally snapping his head back, the lights returning to normal to show Pohatu standing there in his regular wrestling attire, a certain glintin his eyes that showed he was ready for the upcoming match up. Pohatu walked over to the steel steps that were on the corner to the left of him, slowly walking up them, placing his hand onthe steel post as he reached the apron. Pohatu stared into the centerof the ring for a few seconds before grabbing the top rope with one hand, stepping up the ropes and vaulting over the top rope. He landed smoothly inside the ring, leaning against the corner turnbuckls briefly before walking out into the center of the ring, raising one arm up intothe air to briefly taunt the audience, lowering it just as quickly. He walked over to the corner furthest from the audience, slowly stretching out as he waited for the beginning of the match.>
SB: And his opponent. Hailing from San Diego, California. He stands 5'8" and weighs 200lbs........................"THE GEM" STEVE CASTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
<The lights are out for a brief second. The crowd is waiting and Enter Sandman is being heard. The lights are blinking every 3 seconds. The Gem comes out at the entrance way. He pauses for amoment. He raises his arms up (think of Chris Jericho) and the lights are on al the way. His arms drop down to his side and he continueswalking. He stops mid way and gets down on his knees and raises botharms up. Blue and red fireworks are shown right at the entrance way. He gets up and goes forward. He heads to the stairs and gets to the 2nd turnbuckle and raises his right arm while looking at the crowd in the air. He gets down and enters the ring awaiting the bell.>
K: Senior referee Noel Gevers assigned this match, as he will referee from here on out in the tournament.
M: Pohatu looks ready, Olberman.
K: Well we cant say The Gem doesn't. Tough to see behind the mask.
M: Masked people have something to hide.
<Olberman sighs>
K: Gevers calls for the bell and this semi final match is off. Who is going to the finals?
