The camera comes into focus looking over a hotel room. The door is shut and we knock on the door. Valor superstar Havok comes to the door in a pair of ripped jean shorts. He then waves us on in. He walks over to the bed and takes a seat next to the lovely Alora that is lying on the bed watching television. She notices our entrance into the room so she shuts off the television and sits up next to Havok. He places his arm around her and begins to speak.
Havok: Many thoughts have run through my head as of late. I am the one that got myself this far in life. I was never able to depend on anyone in life. I never had friends I could trust. I never had any of the glamorous stuff that many people had. I grew up in a hick town known as Anderson, Indiana. I listened to rock and roll in my little room of my trailer. I never ate much growing up so I never grew that much. I was always told I would amount to nothing. That is until my debut in Valor. Who knew all my characteristics would fall under one category to form the superstar you all know as Havok. I am a junior heavyweight because I only weigh 225 lbs. I am not a very tall person, because I am only 6’ tall. My music interest comes into play as my entrance music hits every single night in a sold out arena. I hail from Anderson, Indiana as the ring announcer says. I go out there every night and just am me and all of you great fans cheer. That is very heart touching.
He pulls Alora closer to him and has her in a hugging position. She lays her head on his shoulder and he squeezes her tighter. He then releases pressure and dangles his arm around her shoulder. He takes a sniff and rubs his nose. He looks at the wall for a second before looking back at the camera. He begins to speak.
Havok: Many people want to know why it is a big deal for me to become successful in this match-up against Quickenbosh. That question can be answered with one word I can describe Quickenbosh with. That word is: Amazing. His in ring skills and tactics are magnificent. He plans ahead quickly in his mind before pulling off an unbelievable stunt. The one thing I like most about him is he respects every superstar that steps into this ring with him. Now of course you have the selected few he doesn’t get along with back home in Valor such as Will Dinero, but who doesn’t have someone they can’t stand? I know I have a few such as Arsenic and Juba. Just because you hate someone doesn’t mean you don’t respect them and Quickenbosh proves to me he is a true man when he says he respects Dinero’s abilities in the ring. It takes a true man to cheer on your opponent in your upcoming match. By talking about how well of a match it is going to be and such. That is why I am anxious for this match, because there are not words that can describe the rush I am getting right now. I am getting goose bumps just thinking about the what if question. What if I pull off the biggest upset of my career and move into the finals of the YLC tournament.
He then stands up off the bed and walks over to the window facing out to the parking lot of the hotel. He slams his hand on the wall and then looks back at us. He begins to speak.
Havok: I am going up against a man that has been my role-model here in Valor since day one. This is a man that is going up against me in a few days and is preparing himself for a hell ride like I am. This man had his chance to speak about how he was going to crush me and head to the finals, but chose not to. This man showed the same amount of respect back to me that I showed him. That means something to me. This man is idolized by the fans. Every time his music hits in any arena thousands among thousands of fans jump to their feet. They cheer and some boo, but everyone has the haters of your skills in the ring. Quickenbosh is a very skilled and very “Lightning Quick” reflexes when it comes to a match. He has his millions of supporters resting on his shoulders just like I do going into this match. When both of our music hits we are going to be cheered and booed. I will be booed by the Quickenbosh followers and cheered by my followers, and vise versa when it comes to the fans reactions towards Quickenbosh.
Havok walks over to the nightstand that is next to the bed in the room. He opens the top drawer and pulls out a bottle of whiskey. He pulls out a glass and pops the top of the whiskey bottle. He pours the liquor in the glass and lays the bottle on the nightstand. He raises the glass in the air and begins to speak.
Havok: Quickenbosh I would like to make a toast in your honor. Quickenbosh is a man of many things. A caring man, a hard fighting warrior, and the man with the biggest heart when it comes to what he loves to do. What he loves to do is entertain all of his fans night in and night out. Sure sometimes he falls down on the mat but the thing I like about having him as a brother the most is: once you fall down you pick yourself back up and try again. Quickenbosh lives off of that rule and to me that is a true man. The greatest among men have failed once or twice in something. Most of the time you get remember from what you succeeded in rather than what you failed in. So if you fail, move on and try again. Quickenbosh my heart, my soul, my life is going into this match against you, to make this the match of the century. Like I and you said earlier this match will definitely be the one to steal the show on this night with the battles of warriors collide to move to the final stage of our journey. The journey ends when one man is left standing holding the trophy in hand and is remembered forever in history of professional wrestling. Quickenbosh I wish you the best of luck and let the better man on this hellacious night win this fight but not the war.
He then tips his head back and slams the drink. He lays the glass down on the nightstand next to the bottle of whiskey. He puts the plug back in the top of the whiskey bottle and lays it back in the drawer. He motions us towards the door. He stands at the end of the door holding onto the side of the door with both hands leaning on it. He begins to talk.
Havok: One last level before you make it to the final level of this game. Once you hit the final level there is no reset button. The story is written so you have to strategize every move you make to make sure you have what it takes to survive in the final round. The time for you to sail into greatness or the time for you to fail. You make the path you choose, whether you choose the right one is up to you. One final chapter in this saga and the good deed is done.
Havok slowly closes the door. We hear the latch shut and the door lock. The television turns back on. We cut to commercial looking at the hotel door.
