"Ordinary People" - RP #1[/u]
We open up in at a Valor House Show in Tampa, Florida. Inside the ring fighting are two jobbers by the name of "King Kong" and "Robby Shaw". The two are clearly boring the crowd to tears with their bad Suplexes, horrid botched DDT's, weak punches, and bad pinnnig combinations. The two are trying their hardest to make a name for themselves in Valor, as a chance like this only comes once in a life time. The two give it their all, but the crowd seem to not care. Some are leaving their seats to go the concession stands or take a piss. Others are simply turning the other cheek to talk to a person next to them that they missed during the show. As Kong goes on the top rope for some sort've move, the lights go out. Now the crowd go wild. Within moments, the opening words to "God Gave Me Style" by 50 Cent can be heard...
God gave me style
God gave me grace
God gave me style
God gave me grace
God put a smile on my face
Haha, God put this smile on my face
God made me shine like the sun
God make me shine like the sun
Sometimes I feel like I'm the one
Sometimes I feel like
It ain't my fault
The music cuts off as a single cyan light is shown on the titan tron. The crowd go batshit crazy knowing just who is about to walk down that aisle. The shadowy figure that resides under the cyan colored strobe light continues to stand there as the song comes back on with a giant gunshot starting it off. The lights appear back on and Martin Paine is shown walking down the aisle with the crowd going crazy around him. With his white tee on and blue jeans being baggy as ever, "The eXtremist" walks down the aisle and enters the ring. The two jobbers stare him down, almost scared of him. Martin waves them off, saying not to be scared. He climbs the turnbuckle and does a pose as the jobbers stand next to each other looking on at the Jr. Title #1 Contender. Martin climbs down from the ropes and quickly charges at Kong with a forearm, knocking him down. Martin kicks away at Shaw before bouncing him into the corner. Martin runs off the ropes and hits a nice looking Sommersault into a Head-butt into Shaw, knocking him out. Martin grabs up Kong, kicks him in the gut, and hits a quick "Thunder Bolt Driver", knocking him out cold too.
The crowd clap and cheer for Martin. He stands up quickly and askes for a Mic. He holds it up to his mouth as he stands in the center of the ring looking down the carnage of jobbers he left laying.
Martin Paine: Now that I've disposed of the dead weight, its time for Mr. #1 Contender to lay some things off of his chest!
The crowd begin to clap loudly for Martin. He pauses and soaks in the claps and cheers. It feels almost as if its an ROH event.
Martin Paine: Since Martin Paine was excluded from this past Valor House Show, I figured I'd take this time to come out here and give a little speech to my opponents this sunday on Slam. Now I';m sure everyone has seen the marquee and who's booked and such, and it'll be me and Pohatu teaming for the first time to battle Havok and Will Dinero. My opponents for Slam are two men I'm very familiar with and believe that they have what it takes to be Jr. Champion - not on my match. Will Dinero and I had a match on previous episode of Thursday Thunder where in the end, he beat me. Now I know it was my second straight loss in a week, but you know what? I deserved it. Those times I was phoning it in and wasn't seeing things clearly. I was too big headed thinking about the Jr. Title and how I wanted to win it, and Dinero took advantage and beat me fair and square. Now as far as Havok goes. His time is drawing near for us to meet in the squared cirlcle and face off for the brand new Valor Jr. Title belt. A belt that I have been dieing to hold for quite some time. Ever since Halloween Havoc when I won #1 Contendership, its been on my mind night and day. Never did that thought of holding the belt leave my mind. I know alot of people are thinking "Martin, bye god he's gone mad." Mabye its true. But I've only gone crazy for the Jr. Title, and its evident in each and every one of my matches.
Martin paces back and forth around ther ring like a mad man. He can't stop pacing back and forth, almost looking as if he's trying to think of what next to say. King Kong and Robby Shaw can be seen getting carried out of the ring by officials at this time.
Martin Paine: As far as my partner Pohatu goes. I can visualize and realize that you have a few goals in mnid yourself. Not only do you want to make an impact in Valor just as myself, but you, you want more than that. I overheard your ass in the back talking to a few people saying how your dieing to see who will be crowned the first ever champion so you can take their title, well bull crap partner. If theirs one thing I've learned over the years of me being a professional wrestler, its that somethings and some people just deserve that much more respect. You'd think coming from two of Valor's top babyfaces, we'd have a bit more respect for each other, eh? But you want out because you think I'll win the Jr. Title and make it a target on chest. Well if we can't get along at Slam, then to hell with you.
Now as far as this match goes in general, its four of Valor's finest Jr. Weights all in the ring at the same time. Havok and I have a score to settle at Holiday Havok for the Jr. Title. Poh and Dinero have a score to settle from their previous bouts on both Slam and Thunder. And combining all four of these elements are only going to make for a crazy bout that I personally will enjoy taking part in. Showcasing my skills just on the short eve of Holiday Havok, its only right that I prove that the phoning I did for two straight weeks was just that - phony. And I'll prove that I'm more than capable of holding my own in a 4 way environment and ready to take names and kick a whole bunch of ass. But before I conclude this promo, theirs some thing I'd like to introduce to the entire world.
Martin hops out of the ring and goes under it. After moments of searching for something, he finally retrieves a Kendle Stick from underneath it. He begins to spin it around with a fast pace, its so fast that his white tee moves back and forth. He backs up a bit so hedoesn't get hit before climbing in the ring. He raises the stick in the air and the crowd begin to pop for the notorious hardcore weapon.
Martin Paine: This is my personal weapon of choice. The weapon that has been notorious to every hardcore wrestler known to man. Raven, Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman, Mick Foley, RVD, Sabu, all these men and many more have used this weapon to their advantage and win matches. Now for the first time Martin Paine has decided to take this weapon out for a try. Consider this the debut of "Core", my own personal hardcore weapon. The Ordinary People will be extinguished, for the stars need to be showcased. I am Martin Paine, and extreme waits for nobody...
Martin pumps the Cane in the air as "God Gave Me Style" hits one more time. He throws the Mic out of the ring before climbing out and walking up the aisle with the stick still in his grasp.
OOC - I know its nothing special, but I thought it was pretty good. Some might think its a typical in-ring promo, but I made sure to jazz it up a bit with the jobber thing. Feedback.
