The scene opens up on top of an apartment building. You can see the smoke rolling out of the vents. Its night and snowing the only thing lighting the rooftop is the moon. It?s a very calm atmosphere. We can hear the wind howl. We see the whole rooftop before we focus in on a doorway. Through the wind blowing we can hear footsteps before they stop and the doorknob turns. The door opens slowly and in the doorway we can see a dark figure, the light behind him conceals his identity from us. The figure steps forward onto the snow covered rooftop and takes in a deep breath as he let it out we can see his breath in the air. As he continues to walk forward he leaves a trail of footprints behind him each of them looking relatively similar. The wind momentarily picks up and forces the door shut behind him. The wind doesn?t seem to bother him and he walks toward the ledge. The most detail we can make of him is his jeans and jacket. When the figure reaches the end of the ledge we can make him out peering over the edge. As we get closer a car goes by letting us see more of his features. We know now that he has long hair and is wearing a leather jacket. We still cant see his face because the light was so brief. Through the wind and through the noise of the busy city below we can hear more footsteps and the door opens again. We can hear the door slam shut and footsteps drawing near. As we peer around behind the figure we can see another standing with his hands in his pockets. The first figure turns and faces him. And the second bigger figure is looking back at him. It is obvious through the darkness that the two men are looking squarely at one another?s eyes. Through the tension we hear a voice.
Voice- So you came eh? Well doesn't surprise me you always have been bull headed. I hope for your sake you have what I want. I am not going to let you off this time. I've had enough of this losing crap from you.
The figure closer to the edge says nothing and just stares at the big man who makes threats and seems very confident in himself. The big man holds out his hand as if to get what he wants and it seems that the smaller man will not budge. As the stand off continues we can hear a buzz of electricity run through the cables on top of the building and a light comes on over the big man. He is dressed in a long trench coat and has no hair. He looks middle aged and has a goatee. The smaller man is none other than Pryme. His hair isn't pulled back in a pony tail like usual, but is flowing over his face and flailing in the wind. Pryme doesn't seem pleased at all and the expression on his face is intense enough to tame a bull. Pryme's gaze is returned by a grinning face of the fat man in the trench coat. the man still holds out his hand waiting for Pryme to give him what he wants. Seeming impatient the man speaks again.
Fat man- Come now Pryme you lost again that means another five hundred. If you keep at this staring contest I might raise it to a thousand. What do you think shall I? If you think I will be intimidated by someone who isn't going to talk to me I fear that you are mistaken comrade. Just pay me and I can go on protecting the Wong's store. You wouldn't want them to get hurt would you? Maybe a mistake might happen. Maybe a fire might start accidentally. Have you seen a fire in the snow? Its very beautiful.
It seems that none of what the fat man said phased Pryme at all seeing as the intensity on his face remained the same. Although with the look on his face I don't think it could get much worse. The fat man sneezed into his hand which was holding a handkerchief and stuffed it back into his coat. Pryme still gazing and nothing more stood strong and even with the strong wind blowing in his face did not even blink. Now very irritated the fat man pointed a finger at Pryme and spoke again
Fat man- I don't know what your trying to do you idiot but keeping this up will only make things worse. I've seen you wrestle and I know I can take you. So if you wont pay me up front I will beat it out of you.
The fat man started to take a step forward and the buzz of the electricity shorted the light out. The fat man could not see because his eyes had gotten used to the light. After a stream of curses flowed through his mouth the lights flickered back on. The man looked back to where Pryme was standing and an expression of shock went into his face because Pryme was no longer there. We and the man look at the ground where Pryme was standing and we can see his footprints in the snow. We followed the prints from that point around the fat man and meet Pryme's feet which are standing a couple feet behind the fat man. The fat man who had already done this stood with his mouth gaping wide open and was slowly backing up away from Pryme. Pryme kept moving forward keeping the same distance between him and the fat man. The fat man backed up all the way to the edge of the rooftop and stopped when he bumped into the ledge. The fat man spoke to Pryme in a scared shell of the confidence he had before.
Fat man- Pryme I?m sorry I'll leave them alone I swear we'll ignore the Wong?s place from now on. Please just dont kill me. How did you do that? Please I dont want to die. Keep your money its not worth it.
The fat man's true cowardice was now exposed. Underneath that big hulking exterior and expensive clothes was a scared bully who would wet himself if the conditions were right. Pryme did not do anything for a couple seconds making the fat man even more scared because of the expression on Prymes face. Finally Pryme spoke low and with conviction
Pryme- I have a match at slam this weekend, and I will win. thats all there is to that. I was screwed last time I was in a match and I'm not going to let that happen again. If you think I wont go at this guy because he is new then you are mistaken. I don't know his background but that doesn?t matter to me. I know what I have to do. You think that just because you are bigger than me you can shove me around. You are wrong and anyone else who thinks that is wrong. I'm not just saying this to scare you I'm saying this to show you what I can do to a person like you, who thinks that Pryme cant win a match. You want me to give you an example? Look at those track back there.
Pryme points a finger behind him at the footprints that where in the snow behind him. The fat man looks with fear on his face to the tracks behind Pryme. They where still visible under the light above the door but the wind was starting to blow the tracks over.
Pryme- I can see where you and I have been. Those tracks will represent my career. I can see everything I have done. But when the lights went out things changed and then I came out on top. You could follow me up to this point right hear with me intimidating you and you making yellow tracks in the snow. So you know what I have done. The question remains still, what am I going to do now? Will I stay on this course and over come my opponent here? Or am I going to walk away and leave things as they are.
Pryme looked at the fat man who had ruined his pants by now and starred at him waiting for a reply. The fat man sat and thought a second trying to give an answer that would reduce the amount of pain that was coming to him. Finally the fat man made an answer.
Fat man- I would think that surely you of all people would show mercy to one in such an unfortunate situation. I have agreed to leave this business of ours behind us and you have your victory over me. Please let me go comrade and I will never bother you again. The Wongs will live a happy life and nothing from me or anyone I know will befall them.
Pryme smiled for the first time that night. This brought a brief moment of relaxation to the fat mans face which was followed by a realization of why he was smiling. Before the fat man could further explain himself Pryme spoke.
Pryme- I know that those people will be safe. I know I have beaten you. I know that I will hear nothing more of it anymore. So I will let you off easy.
The fat man made a heavy sigh and relaxed. Pryme turned and took a couple steps and stopped. The fat man tensed up again and we can hear him wet himself again. Unfortunately for him this man can hold uncanny amounts of urine in his bladder. Without making a move Pryme spoke again
Pryme- I have won havent I? It seems we are all done here, but I don?t think you know how serious I am. I will win Sunday at slam and I will dominate my opponent there like I have dominated you tonight. I will leave him there and he will learn what its like in Valor. He may be new but that doesn't mean I will hold back on him. Oh, it seems I owe you something. Consider this my last payment to you and a goodbye present.
In a flash we se Pryme turn sideway and deliver the Prymetyme on the fat man. The fat man goes limp after the kick and falls in the puddle he made himself. Pryme doesnt look back he just slowly walks for the door. We see him open the door and walk through and shut it behind him. As we look at the door our sight looks down from the door to Prymes footsteps. A gust picks up and in a second the footsteps are blown away in the wind.
