{The scene opens to a seemingly endless dirt road, traveled on by many for centuries, surround on each side by vast grassy fields that dance in the breath of the wind. Wild flowers sway with the bright green blades as dust is brushed off the dirt road by the swift movements in the air. Tree stumps, left from Mother Nature's gift, stamp a pattern in the fields after being demolished by men. Beyond the defined horizon, the blue sky fills an imaginary canvas with different objects splashed against it. One object is most distinct: a large wheel, spinning right below fluffy clouds. A slight melodic tune is heard in the distance like t hat of a Carnival. As this make-believe painting grows closer, the objects become more clear. The large spinning wheel is a Ferris Wheel, rusted and aged beyond belief. As old as it may be, it's evident that it's still in operating condition. Surrounding this great wheel are equally-aged fair rides, none of which are operated, and a few Circus Tents, faded colors from what they originally were. This place is a Carnival with the exception that it is abandoned and only one ride is activated. As we step into this Carnival, seeing all the rides and tents, hearing the creepily happy melody, we hear a soft man's voice coming out from an unknown area.}
"All the years spent in places like this is enough to eat away at your mind. Millions of people visit Carnivals with smiles and laughter, when they have no idea what goes on in this Carnival life. It's hell, worse than hell. Demons are running around, conspiring and plotting deaths, illegal drug deals, and certain sacrifices of their 'family'.
People always say they're scared of clowns and carnies, but if they only knew what most of these clowns and carnies were really like. Most clowns are hideous, messed up individuals that hide their true identities behind face paint and brightly colored clothes and wigs. Most Carnies are heartless and greedy and they would do anything to get what they want...even kill."
{There is a brief silence that spreads around the quiet, abandoned Carnival and a sniff is heard from the soft voice.}
"I would know this more than anyone as I grew up in a Carnival. I was born from a beautiful woman who, just as I, had no choice but to grow up in this kind of world. She was a brilliant woman who always had good intentions, it's hard to imagine she grew up a Carnie. Although my time with her was short, I could never forget her. After her 'departure', I was raised by a greedy, disgusting man, that I refuse to call 'father'. Of course, he also wasn't a part of my life for too long, so I stayed with the only Friend of my mother's, the Fortune Teller. She protected me for the most part and kept me out of trouble as much as possible, but living like this, there's no way to keep out of trouble. The mastermind, Sebastian, of this Carnival that I call 'Crisis', took me every chance he got and used me to get more money in ways that only the youngest and most helpless of the Carnies could. That Bastard..."
{one of the old tents flaps up some what as an unknown man exits. He wears a plaid shirt under a heavy, dark coat, ripped baggy jeans, and a black beanie over his blonde curls. His hands hide in the pockets of his coat, protected from the brisk winds. His eyes are so dark, they're nearly black. Bags have formed under them from restlessness, frustration, and fatigue. A silver ring protrudes from his lip, shaking against his quivering lip. As he speaks, his soft voice matches the voice from earlier.}
"I am known as a thief, a criminal, and a pathetic waste of space. More importantly, I am known as a Carny, A freak from the Carnivals. But I have a name. A name that all will know. That name, My name, is Ethan Toxic. I've traveled to and from various locations on this unpredictable Earth with a 'family' that I was born into. My life was nothing to any of them. I was merely an animal that gained a few profits for them, they didn't even look at me as a human, so I ran from them. I ran far and for so long, without looking back and this is where I ended up. Valor. This will be my new home, not much different from the Carnival when I think about it. Here, in Valor, I will share my story and show the world what it's like to be treated the way I was, starting with Anthony Shadows."
{"The Carny" Ethan Toxic retreats to the faded tent, where inside, he lurks in the shadows.}
"I wish these shadows would've hidden me from my past, but they didn't. That's a huge difference between myself and Anthony Shadows. He could hide from the problems life threw at him and have someone there for him at all times, Tiff Jhones. But he still cries and he is still afraid. It's amazing how weak someone can be in such simple situations.
I, on the other hand, never had the chance to hide from anything. Violations, problems, and chaos were throw at me full force all the time, I had no time to be afraid. I had no one to turn to. I simply acted on my instincts as quick as I possibly could. I was so young, but I kept strong and managed to stay brave throughout my years in the Carnival. I'm a little messed up in the head, but I know how strong I truly am, mentally. I'm stronger than Anthony Shadows. I'm more bold than that walking enigma. And at Deadly Encounters, I alone will beat him like Carnies beat the dignity out of their challengers. You're entering My Carnival, Anthony Shadows, and like everyone knows...A Carny has full control of the Carnival."
{The shadows swallow Ethan Toxic as darkness envelopes the screen and fades to a Commercial Break.}
