We come into focus looking over an old house. The back yard is nothing but corn stalks now with a square of dead grass. There is a chair placed by the chair and a man sitting in it. The house beside it is all beaten down and abandoned. As we scoot closer we notice it is Valor superstar Havok. He is sitting starring at the bald spot in the corn stalks and drinking a beer. He takes a sip and he lays it back down beside him on a tree stump that is next to the chair. As we scoot closer Havok turns and notices us approaching him. He turns back around. He moves his beer and lays it on the ground. He motions us to take a seat on the stump. We take a seat and Havok begins to speak.
Havok: Here we are, we are at my childhood home. Now of course this wasn’t my actual home, but this is where I spent all my time as a child. My parents were always at work, so I got to do pretty much anything I wanted to do. This was my old buddy’s home. This is where my friends and I used to wrestle just for fun. This is where my career began!
Havok reaches back down and grabs his beer once again. He takes a drink in a fast motion causing the beer to fizz. He then lays it back on the ground as the suds overlaps the neck on the bottle and starts oozing down the side of the bottle all the way to the ground. Havok looks at us and begins to speak.
Havok: You see when I got accepted into the world wide leader in sports that is known as Valor, I was ecstatic. I knew it would be my time to shine. When I first started off in this business, I wasn’t as good as I wish I would have been. I went into matches thinking there is no way I am going to be able to pull off the win. Well after being eliminated in the semi finals of the YLC it got me to thinking. I made it to the semi finals as a rookie. I went toe and toe with one of the biggest bad asses of Valor and I came out short in a very hard fought match. I went up against Quickenbosh, a man that showed me respect as a wrestler or as a human bean. I got into the match with all intentions of coming out victorious in a gentlemen fashion.
He looks out into the field as if he was looking for something. His eye caught something that interested him. He stands up out of the chair and walks out into the field a little ways right behind the abandoned building. He comes back with a canister of gasoline and a few matches. He then sits back down in his chair and begins to speak.
Havok: I don’t know what it is. You could call it luck, a miracle, or even an answer to a prayer. All I know is when I lost against Quickenbosh in the middle of the ring the fans and himself gave me something no one has ever given me before. They gave me the respect I have deserved for so long. I used to be afraid to trust people and let them have my back. Well when the fans and Quickenbosh began to cheer that proved to me they really want to be my friend. They really have faith in me and they believe I have what it takes to succeed in this business. Well for that I thank everyone that watched the match live. I would also like to thank the millions of fans watching at home for believing in me. That was a heartwarming feeling that I have never gotten before from anyone. That is the first time I felt welcome and Valor is the first family I feel welcome in.
Havok reaches down against and grabs his beer. Once again he takes a quick drink causing it to ooze to the top of the bottle. He rests it back down on the ground. He stands up by the square of dead corn stalks and grabs the canister of gasoline. He begins to speak.
Havok: I don’t know what it is about Valor. I feel welcomed by most and hated by few. I am not going to change for anyone. I am myself, like me or not that is your choice. I know I have the fans on my side, and Quickenbosh, now I am hoping to grab the same respect from my partner Martin Paine as we have a tag match at Deadly Encounters. We are going up against one of my enemies here in Valor known as Mr. Arsenic. This is the man that wanted to end my career and was unable to succeed. So now he had to go and recruit his life time partner Justin Tyme. You have to realize something Arsenic, it doesn’t matter who is on your side. All that matters is the fans are going to motivate Martin and I to kick ATM’s ass at Deadly Encounters. Justin you are a man I really don’t know and honestly I don’t care to know. You are a man that I would like to erase from my memory and only focus on Arsenic, but that isn’t going to happen. So I am going into the ring with Martin as competitors and we are going to walk out successors.
Havok reaches into his back pockets and pulls out pictures. As he is scuffling through them, he is tossing them into the square of dead corn stalks. As we look at the ground and see the pictures of his family and grandmother. He tosses them on the ground and stops looking through the rest of them and throws the big chunk of pictures in the square. He then begins to talk.
Havok: Martin and I have gone one on one before and we gained mutual respect for one another. I know I can trust him to have my back. He is a man that is true to his word. I have no doubts about that. Now our opponents are not going to be push over, I am aware of this. Especially on the stage known as Deadly Encounters. They are in this match trying to make a name for themselves just like we are. I respect that, but when you discriminate against me then I could care less if you succeed or not. Arsenic you discriminated against me and Justin you got pulled into his whirl pool of justice because you backing him makes it like you discriminated me as well. I will not stand for this and I will promise the fans of Valor, Martin and Havok will walk out victorious in this match at Deadly Encounters. I am actually going to dedicate our match to Quickenbosh for believing in me and the fans of Valor for backing me 100%.
He takes the lid of the canister of gasoline and pours the gas all over the pictures. He reaches into his back pocket once again and pulls out a newspaper article that talks about his defeat to Quickenbosh in the YLC. He tosses it in there as well. He pulls out matches and sets the pictures ablaze. He stands there starring at the flame and begins to speak.
Havok: Some of you are wondering why I did what I just did. I set my family pictures ablaze because they weren’t my true family. The fans and supporters of Valor are my true family and I am finally home. You wonder why I burnt the article for the semi final match in the YLC. I lost and I got over it and I respect the man I lost to. I want to erase my memories of my losses and concentrate only on what is coming up next. I don’t live the past, I live the present, and look forward to the future. Come Deadly Encounters it is a new chapter in a new book. I am starting a new life as a supporter of the fans and the business like you have all done for me the past couple of months. I am here to stay and I am damn proud you allow me to do so.
He then takes the tree stump we were sitting on and pushes it to the fire pit. The trunk was already loose. He pushes it over the first and causes the fire to be put out. The smoke fills the air. Havok sits back down in his chair and places his feet on the stump sitting in the fire pit. He grabs his beer and finishes it off and then tosses it into the fire pit. We fade to commercial looking over the smoky fire pit.
Havok: Here we are, we are at my childhood home. Now of course this wasn’t my actual home, but this is where I spent all my time as a child.
