Fade in at Lake Havasu, AZ on the private yacht of...Oh hell, you know who. There's a few ladies sunworshipping on the deck in their skimpiest swimwear and there are a few guys fishing off the back and drinking beer. Dinero is in the lower cabin relaxing in the air conditioning with a gin n' tonic in one hand, and beautiful woman in the other. Dressed like Mr. Howell from Gilligan's Island, Dinero is all teeth as he grins from ear to ear. He stops laughing and notices the camera. Dinero whispers something in his current lady's ear, she nods, gives him a peck on the cheek, and walks out to the deck. The Valor king of decadence puts his drink down, still smiling, so that he may address us.
"Welcome once again to another one of my many destinations of retreat. I figured since I got what I wanted last week, I'd have a celebration for it. Steven Lynch finally saw things my way. He finally realized that Shane Quickenbosh and I just don't see things in the same shade of green, and Lynch stepped up and gave a match that I can only describe as...intriguing. Something new, and there's nothing wrong with that all. Whatever the match may be, Quickenbosh won't have a chance. Our last match at Valor Before Glory was a fluke. It won't happen again. I don't fail often, and I don't take kindly to losing the way I did."
Dinero stands up and walks to the window on the starboard side of the yacht. He looks out at the people having a good time.
"Shane, you've had a problem with the way I've done things since the first day that we met...So it's not surprising that you still have a problem with my actions. The thing is, you seem to believe that I actually care about what you think. It's laughable to me. What makes you so special that you actually think your opinion matters? Is it because you give me competition? Is it because you're one of the few who can consistently beat me and make me work hard in the ring? If so, you're more dillusional than I thought. The only thing that matters is winning and making a profit. That's my drive in life. Last month you hindered that drive, so now you're going to pay. I'm collecting payment this Sunday out of your hide. Turns towards camera. Now, it's nothing personal, it's just business. I want to expand my ventures further, but if I keep allowing you to hold me back, things can't change for the better. So instead of fighting change Shane, embrace it...you'll feel better about losing once you accept it."
Dinero picks his gin n' tonic off the table, takes a few sips and lets out a sigh.
"You know what seperates us Shane? It's not the obvious answer, money. It's that you don't know when to back off. In business, you can't charge headfirst into everything you do. A good investor takes the slow steady pace with sure fire accounts, stocks, and mutual funds. The investors who go for the 'quick' buck never last long. They do great, make lots of money on the fast rising stock, but lose it all in an instant. That's how the stock market is. One minute you're on top of the world, ringing the closing bell. The next minute you're on your knees begging for them to ring the bell to stop the financial bleeding. I've learned to cope with loss because my gains are so much more. You may have some bad days that really seem to hurt, but at the end of the 52 week run when you're still in the black...It's a beautiful thing.
Dinero finishes his drink and makes himself another one.
Last month I took a loss. This month, I'm going to be back in the black like I always am. Gains and losses Shane. What's your trend? Mine is consistent gain...Sunday, your's will be the beginning of a downward slope into the red. This is my business, and I know how to run it well. Keep your opinions to yourself until you can beat me at my own game.
