A Highlight – Holiday Havoc RP #1[/u]
The video lights up to scene’s of Martin Paine raising his arm in the air, with the trophy from the 2003 Xtremist Ball Tournament in the right hand. The look on his face tells it all. He’s the happiest man on the planet, with streamers flying everywhere around the ring and even on him. With this video taken from Canadian-based federation UNW [Up-North Wrestling], a few Indy talent are seen raising Martin in the air like CM Punk, Raven, Jerelle Clarke, Christopher Daniels, and a few others. The video continues into another montages of Martin accomplishing many things in his young, yet short, wrestling career. Coldplay’s “The Speed of Sound” can be heard in the background as we cut to an image of Rodney Paine, Martin’s older brother facing a camera.
Rodney Paine: Martin isn’t just “my brother”. He’s one of the best damn entertainers and wrestlers I know period. The guy can fly like an eagle, and he doesn’t get much credit for it because of his smaller size. If guys like Spike Dudley and Rey Mysterio can go out there and get the job done, Martin is just as good as them, if not better from a not-so-toned down standpoint.
The next montage is a clip of Martin doing a Suicide Dive off a Table inside the ring and onto an opponent over the ropes and landing back first on the announce table.
Lloyd Paine: One word to describe Martin – Exciting. Theirs not one match I’ve seen my bro take part in that hasn’t been non stop fun. I remember many of times when we’d wrestle each other both backyard and in wrestling feds, and I couldn’t have had a better opponent.
A clip of Martin getting hit in the side of the head with a steel cookie plate and then landing elbow first off the turnbuckle and onto the guardrail is shown. This was Martin’s first major injury, and required elbow surgery, which took him out of action in Winter 2003 for a total of three months. A clip of Martin’s surgery, which was video taped by older sister Andrea, is shown. The pics aren’t too close up and too gruesome.
Roderick Paine II: It was a hard time when Martin got injured and had his first major surgery. Everyone was scared he wouldn’t make it out of surgery due him looking like he just got shot when the fall happened. But we all bounced back and were happy to see him back in the ring and ready to compete.
The next clip is of a countdown showing on the screen at a BCW event and the words “Martin Paine IS BACK” appearing. All of a sudden, Martin Paine is seen running down the aisle and Spearing A1 threw the ring ropes and unleashing hell on him with furious punches.
Melinda Paine: Martin has got soooo much life. He takes a fall and comes right back. All the time during rehab after the surgery, he was constantly in the ring, practicing moves trying to get rusty for his big return, and it paid off. Ya know, thank God he hasn’t gotten injured since.
Martin doing a Sign of the Cross symbol on top of titan tron in AWE is the next clip. After moments, Martin jumps off the tron and lands back first threw a table and onto Ryan Adder, allowing Martin to advance in the AWE Strong Style Title Tournament.
Kyle Paine: Martin is totally committed to VWA. He’s told me many of times the atmosphere in the back is great and all the guys are eager to work, and Martin is just one of those guys who will go out there and give all he has 200% of the time, and I don’t misjudge him. My bro will always go out there and give it his all, and I have full faith he’ll win the Valor Jr. Title at Holiday Havoc.
Now the music fades and the gray colored image of Martin Paine kneeling down with a bandanna over his head and him facing the opposite side of the ring from the turnbuckle is shown. Giant balls of sweat are forming as they drip from his face and onto his gray-looking ribbed shirt and black track pants. Martin’s voice is heard in the background.
Martin Paine: For those who don’t know me – I am the second coming. Valor has seen what I can do when pushed to the limits, and I never quit. I want one thing in life – and that is to succeed. My extremists out there love me, and fans around the world appreciate my work. I aim to please the crowd, and if you go home feeling like you haven’t been entertained by my match… then I failed to do my job. But at Holiday Havoc, it’s the chance to prove to the world why I am the greatest Jr. Weight there is. Hank Williams, Matt Mayhem, Pohatu, Will Dinero, Jackyl, Ryan Young, Quickenbosh, and Havok… oh especially Havok… will realize that I will be the true Jr. Heavyweight in Valor once they see the still image of me raising the Valor Jr. Title in the air at the PPV. Don’t believe me?
The last and final image is of Martin hitting a sick forearm to D’Marcus Brown’s face, knocking him out cold.
Martin Paine: Just try me…
The scene fades to black.
OOC - Just thought I'd post it early so no one can say I waited to the last minute.
