The scene opens as we see a flyer for the event Sunday Night Slam for the date of October 2nd. We see many matches being shown such as Voodoo and Johnny Arsenic vs. Anthony Shadows and Pryme. Then we search farther down the black and white flyer to see another match, this match involves VWA superstars Sin City Saint vs. Juba and the match is for the #1 contendership for the North American title. Then we look down and see the main event, which involves two huge main eventers in the VWA and they are Immune vs. The Creeper for the North American title. Then we notice rain drops smacking against the flyer as it begins to rain down here in Binghamton, NY. The rain begins to crash along the paper and the paper begins to shred with each rain drop that hits it, but then we notice a man walking in the rain and the man comes up and snatches the flyer and walks to a dark alley and then the man leans up against a wall of a restaurant and the man is standing under a shelter which is hanging off of the building. The man then begins tearing at the paper and then throws ¾ of the paper in the burning trashcan which is sitting right next to him. The man then reaches into his pocket and pulls out a thumbtack and places the ¼ of the paper he kept and posted it on a piece of cardboard lying in the alley way. The cardboard is wet as well and lying in the rain until the man grabs the cardboard and lays it up against the building under the shelter as well and then waves us over to him. The man then sits down next to the piece of cardboard and begins to talk.
Mysterious Man: You know for the longest time all I kept hearing about was the opening of a new fed known as Valor, I heard that this federation was supposed to be the event for all the serious and most deadly wrestlers to walk this planet. I heard the tryouts were going to be outrageously hard and the coaches were going to be like drill instructors like you would get to know if you went into a branch in the military. I heard so much about this place it began to make me sick, because every time I would read the paper that was the headline week in and week out, and I figured it was going to be another piss on show that paid so much just to get this publicity, but I was wrong. What was posted in the paper was so true, everything they said is exactly the truth, which is weird because you don’t get that much from the press anymore. Well I happened to come across a flyer one day which was posted on a telephone poll just like the one I snatched a few minutes ago. I looked at the matches and I happened to notice I knew some of the superstars from across the country, such as Hardcastle, Immune, ZMaster, Quickenbosh, and Bailey. Then I came across some new faces such as: Dinero, Tibbs, and Sin City Saint; now I am not saying they weren’t in other federations across the country but I never happened to hear about them.
Mysterious Man: Well at the bottom of the flyer it gave the time and the channel the show would be shown on and I had nothing to do that night so I went home to my trashy trailer and I turned on my black and white television and I was lucky enough to get the channel, because I don’t have cable or satellite. Well the picture wasn’t perfect on my television for the show but the more I watched the clearer the show got. What I saw in those matches were exactly what everyone said it would be, there were high flyers, powerhouses, and technical wrestlers. I mean this show had it all, now of course the show wasn’t that long, and that is because the federation just opened up. The show ran about 1 ½ hours long and that is all I needed before I fell in love with the federation. What the owners did, and how the wrestlers put their bodies on the line week in and week out is what made Valor my favorite federation around.
The man then sniffles, considering he is out in the cold rain, and probably has a cold, then man runs his shirt sleeve across his nose and then sniffles again. The man then grabs a piece off of a newspaper that he is sitting on, and the man blows his nose and then throws the snotty paper into the trashcan. Then the man begins talking again.
Mysterious Man: Well I was sitting at home one night in my trashy trailer and I was watching Valor on the television and watched the main event of Hardcastle vs. Immune in a tournament match to see who moves one step closer to the World Championship. The match was a bloody one and the two put their bodies and their souls on the line just to get one step closer to the gold, and the victor Hardcastle showed respect towards Immune after the match, which was kind of weird considering the two hated each other before the 3 count happened. Hardcastle helped Immune up and then they shook each others hand, which was completely unnecessary, considering the fact that they were fighting for the same thing and that was a shot to move one step closer in the tourney towards the gold. If that was me in that ring and I destroyed Immune like Hardcastle did I would have spit in Immune’s face, not to be rude but to leave my point behind, I wouldn’t join a federation to make friends, I join a federation to become #1 and that is how each and every wrestler around the world should feel, but then you have the kind hearted people like ZMaster and Hardcastle.
Mysterious Man: Well after I watched the very gruesome match between the two, the credits came up at the end and then at the very bottom it said need members. In my mind that was my cue towards becoming what I have always wanted to be and that is a professional wrestler. Well I joined the training camp and I went through a hellacious drills and practices and I got yelled at a bunch. I mean the instructors yelled at me so much that I wanted to punch them in the mouth and run my mouth towards them, but being the man I was, I was able to bite my tongue and unclench my fist and let it go. Well all I know is I made it to the top three of my class and at this time I was afraid, I don’t get scared often, but the cut itself scared the hell out of me, there were three of us and one of us were going home and the other two would get a contract at Valor. I stood there shaking a bit as the instructor opened the envelope and opened the piece of paper and then mentioned off a nobody. I didn’t care who it was that got deducted, all I knew in my mind set was it wasn’t me, all I could think of was I got a contract at Valor, which excited me.
Mysterious Man: I jumped up and down and celebrated and almost shed a tear but I was able to keep it in as I celebrated. Then the instructor brought the two finalists to the center of the stage and had us face each other and shake hands. When I looked up I saw a new face, someone that was new to the business just like me and that man was Pryme. I extended my hand and the man shook my hand in a disrespect manner, it felt like I was shaking the hand with a wet noodle. The man then turned and celebrated with his family, so I let it go. Well when I turned around my family wasn’t there to celebrate with me. I was all alone like always, and that angered me, so I grabbed my contract and I walked out of the auditorium and went home to my trailer. I unpacked my bags and then thumbtack my contract to my wall and then went to bed. This morning I woke up and I received a phone call from Mr. Lynch himself, and he congratulated me on my success in the training camp and he mentioned he was glad to have me aboard. I thanked him, and then he let me know I would have a match on the upcoming show, Sunday Night Slam. I was overly excited and then I thanked him again and hung up the phone and got dressed, considering I had to take a walk. I was walking through town and I noticed this very flyer hanging on a telephone poll just like the one before and I snatched it before the rain ruined the whole thing. I walked over here under the shelter and began looking it over and I didn’t notice nor care about the other matches, the only thing I noticed was I had a match and I was on the flyer. My match was posted in the right corner of the page, considering it isn’t a very important match, but to me that is the only match that mattered to me. I ripped it out of the page and then posted it on the cardboard and threw away the rest of the flyer.
The man then holds up the cardboard as we get a close up on the match itself and it was the tag match, Havok and Shane O’Riley vs. Will Dinero and Shane Quickenbosh. We then look at a close-up at the man we have been listening to and it is none other than Havok. Havok then points at the paper and then begins to talk again.
Havok: Now let me ask all you dumb asses out there to answer me a question. When you look at the flyers you look for the main event you see what titles are on the line and you could care less about the nobodies or rookies that come into this business, am I right? I know I am right, because I used to do the same thing, I knew when you looked at this flyer you just looked to see if the World Champion Bailey would be fighting in a non title match or if he was defending it on Sunday Night Slam, you didn’t look to see about the new talent though did you, nope. Well come Sunday on Slam after you see the debut of Havok you will no longer care about the World Champion the only person you will care to see is me Havok. You see I am not going to be a kind hearted person like some of these other fags are here in Valor, if I win a match it is because I kicked your ass, the same way around, if I lose a match I am not going to bitch and complain that you cheated or whatever, if you win fair and square or win by cheating a win is a win and I won’t take that from you. Now a lot of you people look at this match and consider one thing, and that is Dinero and Quickenbosh have the upper hand in this match.
Havok: They are the veterans compared to Shane O’Riley and I. They have what it takes to survive in Valor, well newsflash, so do Shane and I. We have talked on the phone and over the internet and face to face ever since I got inserted into Valor and I know this man is ready to compete just as much as I am. Shane O’Riley went through the same training camp that I did so I know this man can take punishment emotionally and physically just as well as I can. Now have I ever seen my partner in a match, no, do I know what he has to offer in the ring, no, but one thing I do know that this man has is heart and that is the only thing I am striding off of as well. I mean am I very big? No, am I a body builder that has 24 inch pythons? No, I am a man that strides off of competition and accomplishments and come Sunday I am going to accomplish a victory as my debut, hold my word if you must, because that is how it is going to happen.
Havok then points at his opponents with his soggy finger and then looks up at us and back down at the paper and then back up at us again. He then begins to speak again.
Havok: Like I said before you look at our opponents for Slam, last week these two were at each others necks, fighting with everything they had and Quickenbosh happened to come out on top in a very hard fought victory, but don’t you think there is still hatred between these two? I mean don’t you think Dinero wants some revenge on Quickenbosh since he got embarrassed at the Valor Before Glory. Don’t you think Dinero still wants to see Quickenbosh fail at everything he does, of course he does. Dinero wants to see Quickenbosh get his ass kicked night in and night out no matter who he is facing, and the same goes for Quickenbosh towards Dinero, these two hate each other. Yes, the two have competed side by side before and did very well, but the hatred the two are feeling towards each other now are far past the hatred they felt for each other back then. Are they going to suck up their emotions toward each other and come at Shane O’Riley and I with all they’ve got? Yes, I believe so, because that is what make men, being able to settle their differences to get a job done that needs to be done, I seriously believe they are going to cope with their differences and fight side by side once again and do very well the only thing is this time no matter how well they work together they are not going to defeat Shane O’Riley and I. Shane and I have talked numerous times like I said before and we now know each others strategies, we know what to expect from one another and if the facts we gave each other are 100% correct then there isn’t a team out there that is going to be able to stop us.
Havok: Are Shane O’Riley and I going to be friends going into this match, no, but we won’t be enemies either, and after the match we aren’t going to be friends either, like I said before I am not here to make friends, I am here to become #1 and that is what I am striding for. I stride everyday now to wake up and be told I get a title shot, and one day I will get my shot at World Gold and when that happens then the World Champion at that time better be ready to bring it, because I will be coming at them with everything I have got. I have lost everything, my family (Car Accident, my girlfriend, hell even my kid. I have lost everything and now I am on a new slate, I am on my own like I like to be, the only reason in my mind that Shane is in my corner is for reinsurance that I have what it takes to take on two big names in the business like Dinero and Quickenbosh. So, I am going into this match with nothing to lose, I have pride in myself and dignity and I have a heart the size of my home state, Indiana. I do not know the words I quit and I sure in the hell am not about to learn it no matter my obstacle in that ring, I am here to dominate the locker room, and dominate I shall do.
Havok throws the whole cardboard in the burning trashcan and watches it burn, he then reaches out from behind the trashcan and pulls out a gas can. He then pours the gasoline over the open flame and watches it as it ignites and the smoke covers the sky. He then lays the gasoline can back down on the ground and stares into the burning trashcan and begins speaking again.
Havok: Now one thing that really does bother me about my partner is this. He always brings up being this champion and that champion here and there, but this is Valor man all that doesn’t mean jack shit, you are living in the past you need to live in the present and shoot for the future. You need to realize that this isn’t the OCW, FIW, nor any other federation, this is the VWA. The world wide leader in sports entertainment, the leader in federations, the most watched federation around the world, this is home to me, this is my life. You should feel the same way Shane, you are apart of history here and you need to realize that, and one more thing you should realize, you shouldn’t ever cross the boss and get in his face talking shit, no matter how big and bad you think you are, you are a pee on just like me and all the newbie’s around here and he could torture you and I until we retire if need be, don’t worry about showing off to the fans or shit like that, come in night in and out and do what you get paid to do and that is entertain these lousy fans and get paid to do so.
Havok then begins to walk away but then stops in his tracks as the rain falls down on him, he then turns around and walks back under the shelter and looks into our eyes and begins to talk.
Havok: One more thing before I leave here tonight, now that I have all of your attention, I did notice that Dinero and Quickenbosh like to run their mouths a lot, maybe even a little too much, and I plan on you guys to do it for our match as well, but I am not going to listen to your shit anymore, run your mouth all you want about me, because all you are doing with every put down you send my way is igniting the fire with gasoline, and eventually the fire is going to become overbearing where neither of you can control it and then when it ignites so large you will realize the monster you created and then the monster is going to come straight for you. Just watch what you say because no matter what you say, that isn’t the outcome of the match, our wrestling skills determine that, and after our match this Sunday, I plan on you two not to be able to talk ever again, because I plan on breaking your jaws and ending your careers, and then become the victor along side my partner Shane, and have our hands raised in victory and come one step closer to becoming the #1 contender for VWA Gold.
Havok then crouches back down on the ground and waves us away, and we stand in the pouring rain dumbfounded by the words we just heard from Havok. We then turn and walk down the flooded streets within Binghamton, NY. The cars are splashing water everywhere, all over buildings and pedestrians as they walk down the flooded streets. We then turn back around and Havok has disappeared from his sheltered area. We walk into the hail from the rain and disappear into the busy streets of NY.
Mysterious Man: You know for the longest time all I kept hearing about was the opening of a new fed known as Valor, I heard that this federation was supposed to be the event for all the serious and most deadly wrestlers to walk this planet.
