[Fade In]
[From Wilson Memorial Park on the south side of West Mars, Pennsylvania, the grass grows like wild fire. The blue sky just the right shade of blue. West Mars is typical suburbia. Small town, where kids can play in the streets without fear. Wilson Memorial Park is a small park, by today's standards. A slide, teeter totter, swings and a tire hung by rope, swinging from a tree, are the only amusements in this park. The tire was just installed last spring to celebrate the town's centennial. Sitting on the swings, gently rocking front to back, is "Lightning Quick" Shane Quickenbosh. Quickenbosh squints his eye lids tightly, as he looks up into the sky with the setting sun. He smiles for a moment and stands up.]
Quickenbosh:
A few weeks ago, I said my hunger for competition goes unquenched. So, VWA officials decided to book me one on one with Will Dinero. Fitting really, considering our history. Considering that the last time we met, you were the victor. This time, its going to be different. This isn't the wXw, Dinero. No, this is Valor Wrestling Alliance. And with the Young Lion's Cup approaching, I am hungrier than I have ever been.
[Quickenbosh walks to the backside of the swing. With both hands, he grasps the chain links that hang on the swing.]
Quickenbosh:
Our history is very much like this chain. The metal symbolizes the strength. A strength so strong, it feels like it can support the weight of the world. Each link symbolizes one particular battle.....one particular match. And when you attach one link to the other, you begin to make the chain.....you begin to trace our history.
[Quickenbosh gives the swing a slight push. The swing flies from back to front for a few moments, before it becomes somewhat still.]
Quickenbosh:
Now we have the push in the right direction. The push we received from Valor executives to come to Valor and show the world what the Junior Heavyweights can do. But even after the push, the swing will come to a stop. The question is........when it stops, will anyone remember how it swung? Dinero, I don't plan to stop swinging.....not for a long time. And like this chain, I'll be strong and solid this Sunday at Valor Before Glory.
[Quickenbosh leaps to the seat of the swing. With both feet, firmly planted in the rubber, his arms reach out to the chain to maintain his balance. The swing begins to teeter from front to back.]
Quickenbosh:
So it begins. Motion. Swing. A leap of faith. Valor Before Glory, Dinero. Are you ready? Are you ready to do this one more time? To swing with Shane Quickenbosh? I hope so. Oh and Will, keep this in mind.............Lightning has a habit of striking......when you least expect it.
[Quickenbosh leaps from the swing, grabbing the metal pole on the side. He uses the pole to shimmies back down to the ground.]
