<The scene opens outside the home of Eric Hardcastle. The bitter winter has covered most of Pennsylvania with snow. Eric's front door opens and out walks The Valor World Heavyweight Champion. Behind him is Brittney, who is hurrying to get her coat on. Eric seems to be extremely rushed, as he heads towards his Acura MDX, parked in the drive way. He pops open the trunk and lifts his suit case up and shoves it in. With the Valor World Title on his arm and the winds picking up, Eric shuts the trunk door and heads for the passenger side. Brittney stops him from opening the door.>
Eric Hardcastle: What?!
<Brittney pauses for a moment.>
Brittney Bailey: Eric, I don't think you should do this by yourself. I want to go with you.
<Eric shakes his head no.>
Eric Hardcastle: Its not safe, Brit. I don't know who in the hell is behind this and I just can't risk it. You are safer here. I have twenty four hour protection surrounding you.
Brittney Bailey: All the protection I need is you.
Eric Hardcastle: Brit, I hope you can understand. If something was to happen to you......I wouldn't be able to live with myself. My father is gone and my head is just....well, its out there. Now I have this so called mystery man threatening and practically laying claim to my father's passing. I can't. I just can't.
<Eric opens the passenger side door and lays the Valor World Title on the rich, smooth leather. He closes the door, as Brittney begins to tug at his jacket.>
Brittney Bailey: Honey, you need me at Slam this week. You have a World Title defense.
Eric Hardcastle: I know. I wish you could be there. But you are more important than a match. I can't risk that while I am in the ring, that this mystery guy won't try to hurt you. If what he said was true........if what he is trying to lay claim to is real..........this guy will stop at nothing to hurt me and the people I love. Besides, my mother needs you right now. She needs someone to cry with and I just can't do it. Please Brittney. Please understand.
<Brittney pauses for a moment and cracks a slight smile. She reaches up and kisses Eric. Eric accepts the warm embrace.>
Eric Hardcastle: I'll miss you. But I won't be gone for long. I just need to take care of this. Try and find out who this mystery guy is. I love you sweetie. Now get back in the house before you catch cold.
<Brittney begins to walk back to house, blowing kiss to Eric, as she walks towards the front door. Eric turns to the camera.>
Eric Hardcastle: With all that has been served up on my plate, I get this dumped on me. Whoever this mystery man is, I'll deal with you on Sunday. If you've got the guts............BE THERE!!!! Come out from the darkness and into the light. Show your face, revealing your identity. Enough with this hide and go seek routine. Let's settle this. Now, as far as Ethan Toxic is concerned......Toxic, you are just that.....TOXIC!!! You came to Valor and rose right up the ranks. You knocked off superstar after superstar. You went to Deadly Encounter and impressed many with your win over Anthony Shadows. Well, you have my attention. You have a Valor World Heavyweight Title match this Sunday. All those superstars you beat........means nothing. Sure, it was nice to pad the stat line, but at the end of the day, you weren't fighting the Valor World Heavyweight Champion. You've been able to string a few victories along and got the eye of the championship committee. And now you have that opportunity. But I got to warn you, Toxic, I'm not right in the head right now. Don't expect to see too many scientific moves, headlocks, arm drags, etc. Don't expect a wrestling match, counters and reversals. Expect nothing short of war. Expect nothing short of a massacre. I've got a lot on my mind right now. A LOT! But that won't divert me from the task at hand. When the bell rings, I am gonna unload all my worries and frustrations out on you. And when I do, its gonna be a "Sunday, Bloody Sunday."
<Eric walks over to the driver side and enters his MDX. His puts the key into the ignition and closes the door behind him. He turns the key and the SUV starts right up. Eric begins to back down the driveway. He puts the vehicle into drive and speeds away, as the screen fades to black.>
