All Along the Watchtower – RP#1[/u]
In the view of the night sky, we come to see the wind swaying every which way. Lights surround a giant mansion, in which we come up to the gate and see the name “Paine” written all across it. As the gates open and the camera zooms up the long driveway, we come to see a giant watchtower far across the field. As the scene cuts to the front of the watchtower, we can see a bright light flashing from the top, and the words to Jimi Hendrix’s “All Along the Watchtower” playing to the beat of a guitar. As the camera begins to climb up to the top of the tower, it rests at the edge, only to see sitting in a chair with his feet kicked up, Martin Paine jamming out to his Rock Idol, strumming his way threw his Electric Guitar and singing the words to “All Along the Watchtower”. Martin’s usual black bandana is wrapped around his head, and he’s in his Pajama’s, something we rarely see wrestlers in. He notices the camera, only to stop jamming out. He puts the pic’s in his Pajama Top pocket and continues holding the guitar.
Martin Paine: This is where I come when I feel anxious. Nervous if you will. In just 24 hours, I’ll have a big challenge ahead of me. No, its not what your thinking. I won’t get to cash in my JHW Title shot just yet, but it’s a tag match. A first for me actually. Not particularly used to tag matches, as I’ve never trusted my partners. But for one night, I’ve got to put grudges aside to keep my record well. Me and Havok, we’ve had our differences in the past week, but theirs not much I can say. Our match ended in a Count Out, and last week during my assault by ATM, you saved my ass out there and gave me back up when I much well needed it. But tomorrow night, while it’s a tag match, its every man for them selves in that ring. I was caught off guard on Slam, and they took advantage of it. But at Encounters, I’ll know just exactly what to focus on – and that’s Justyn Tyme & Johnny Arsenic. Now lately, the two have been getting major heat backstage for their loud mouths, and personally, I’m ready to shut them up. It’ll do me some justice knowing that I can keep these parts of Valor quiet with those fake fucks away.
Martin pauses for a bit. He looks into the damp night sky and closes his eyes for a bit. Moments pass and he finally opens them.
Martin Paine: Tomorrow night is a redemption song for me and Havok I guess. For the past few weeks we’ve been feuding with ATM, but tomorrow night we get our chance to prove that ATM are a bunch of phonies. But Havok, don’t let this chance fool you. While I don’t want to work with you anymore than you want to work with me, the slightest scene of you trying to throw one punch at me, you can bet your ass I’m going to knock the crap out of you, eh. I’m still awaiting the debut of the Jr. Title. And it’ll be my honor to knock whoever might stand off as threat out of my way. I want that title more than life itself. Some might think I’m mad because I’m going after a belt that not even top Valor main eventer’s like Hardcastle, Immune, and Bailey aren’t going after, but I don’t care.
I pride myself on being the best in the Jr. Division. There are a lot of good guys in my way. Anthony Shadow’s, Will Dinero, Shane Quickenbosh, Havok, Justyn Tyme, Johnny Arsenic, hell I’m sure theirs a few others from the YLC that are dieing to come into Valor and gain this title shot. But while I might come off as a man paranoid to get a belt that doesn’t even have a set date to debut, its with good reason. A lot of top talent are vying for that top spot, and its my job to keep it just that – vying, not obtaining, but vying. I am the true #1 Contender for that belt, and its my destiny to claim it once it debut’s. Valor is just on high alert right now – Martin Paine is destined for the Jr. Title.
Martin grabs the pic out his pocket and strums the guitar once again. It lets out a loud rip threw the tower and threw the whole entire yard. A light from the house goes on. At the window the figure of a man is seen sticking out.
Man: MARTIN WERE TRYING TO SLEEP!!!
Martin Paine: Sorry Uncle Reilly!
The man, Uncle Reilly, closes back the window and the lights go off. The camera comes back to the visual of Martin putting the Pic away in a case and taking the guitar strap off his shoulder and holding the guitar in his hand.
Martin Paine: I can’t sleep, I can’t eat. I’m just too excited. And nervous at that. What if Havok turns on me, what if he does end up fucking with me and letting ATM get the win? Whatever the case, I’m prepared now than I ever will be. Tomorrow night is a new chapter for me, and I’m willing to turn the page on that one. Deadly Encounters will be a serious encounter for ATM, and Havok if he doesn’t watch his back.
Martin gets up and places the guitar into the case. He locks it up before putting it away in his drawer in the tower. He hops over the small barricade and climbs down the ladder and into the darkness across his field as the scene fades out to black.
