<The scene opens in some backwoods in central, Pennsylvania. Brown and orange leaves cover the landscape, as the trees almost weep for the winter. A cold breeze blows through. The rustling of leaves can be heard, as the pattern of footsteps can be heard. As the evening closes in, the sun begins to set. The daylight is beginning to die down and the evening cold is about to settle in. The footsteps grow louder, as "The Prodigal Messiah" Eric Hardcastle appears. In his hand is a copy of the Holy Bible.>
Eric Hardcastle: In my hand, I carry a copy of the Holy Bible. A book, for which, Brandon Bailey has seen fit to use against me. Most especially, Bailey has used the Book of Revelations in an attempt to defraud the public. To try and make people believe. Believe in a fate that is untrue. This book.....
<Eric holds it up for the camera.>
Eric Hardcastle: ............and what it says is based on faith. Not fact, nor fiction. But blind faith. Don't get me wrong, what Brandon Bailey has stated is true. The references to an Armageddon and a final battle are revealed in the last chapter. But don't let this man fool you. We ought to appreciate and give full weight to the fact that the Revelation is part of the Word of God. It cannot be unimportant. It is the last statement,completing the word of God. In the previous 4,000 years there had been substantially a continuous voice of God among his people. Now, silence, apart from the instruction of this last book; it has to cover some 2,000 years to our present day. It must be important. It is important. It is not easy to understand because it involves history and is presented in symbols. Those same symbols lead us to faith. And with that faith, we.....including I, must believe that good will triumph over evil.
<Eric scratches his chin.>
Eric Hardcastle: The Book of Revelations, otherwise known as The Apocalypse, foretells a violent end to the world, revealing the truth of the last days. It describes Armageddon, the Second Coming of Jesus, Judgment Day, and “a new heaven and a new Earth” that will be revealed at the end of time. You know Brandon, I think you might be onto something with Revelations. The problem is, you attempted defraud the people, the fans of Valor and all of the world. You attempted to use the good book in your own self serving way. Let me tell you something Brandon, there will be an Armageddon this Sunday, just like Revelations foretells. And there will be a Messiah rising. And there will be a judgment day. And finally, a new world will come about. In this new world, this MESSIAH will reign supreme. A reign on top of the mountain, that Brandon Bailey once reigned as World Heavyweight Champion.
<Eric bends down and grabs a few of the leaves in his hand. He crunches them and watches the broken leaves, falling back to the ground.>
Eric Hardcastle: These leaves remind me of you, Brandon. As the seasons change, the winter comes and nature begins to die around us. Its a part of life. Look at the trees around me, Brandon. They have withered, their leaves crumpled to the earth's floor. The leaves have become brittle and a shell of their former selves.........kind of like you.
<Eric stands and walks over to an oak tree. The tree is slightly tilted due to the hard winters it has endured. Its leaves scattered on the floor. Eric places his hand on the tree.>
Eric Hardcastle: Strong and powerful.....at one time. Now just wilted and dying. The winter will do that to you. The change over time, will cause this to happen. Its apart of nature. You can't fight it. But like the leaves the crack below my feet. So you shall crack. In fact, you are showing signs already. Your lack of sleep is contributed to your paranoia. Your paranoia, contributed by your fear. The fear you feel every moment of every day that your mind comes to this Sunday. The fear that you will be trapped in Hell on Earth with "The Prodigal Messiah". A fear so strong, you become almost paralyzed. The same fear that keeps you from your sleep. It haunts your dreams, causing nothing more than nightmares. Well, your nightmares become reality this Sunday.
<Eric walks back towards the open field. The leaves under his feet crack and shred beneath him.>
Eric Hardcastle: Hate is a strong word. A strong four letter word. Strong than some other four letter words. And the reason why is because it is much more than a word. Its an emotion. Its an utter defiance. You're hate for me is what I was counting on. When you bailed on the original match, using nothing more than a technicality. I knew I needed to capture your emotion. Almost like capturing lightning in a bottle. Putting my career on the line, rose the stakes. But it also grabbed your attention. This was your opportunity to rid me forever. And I counted on that emotion of hate to do just that. I used your own hate for me against you. By the way Brandon.......feeling is mutual.
<Eric smiles wicked grin.>
Eric Hardcastle: No one can take away your accomplishments. Yes, you were the first World Champion in the Valor era. And yes, you battled through the biggest and baddest that this company had to offer. The measuring stick, you will remain. An icon and a legend, absolutely. But the one thing you will no longer be is....................CHAMPION!
<Eric drops his copy of the Bible, amongst the dying leaves. A few leaves pop into the air, as others scatter around. The Bible lands on the pile, as a strong wind begins to pick up. Eric Hardcastle walks off, as the camera zooms in on the Bible. The pages begin to flip through, as the wind blows harder. The screen fades to black.>
