The scene opens up with us looking to the sky. It is a pretty clear day out and the only thing to see in the sky is a few white clouds here and there. As we look down we can make out an empty park in the middle of a wooded area. It seems to be midday and looks pretty warm outside. The park seems to be deserted with the exception of a little girl sitting on a swing all by herself. She is wearing a pair of jeans with a white t-shirt her legs dangled and her feet scrapped the ground as she swung back and forth on her swing. As she swung she sang ?the itsy bitsy spider?. She had no worries as she looked very relaxed. On the other side of the playground we can see a man walking toward the swings. He has long hair and looks as though he hasn?t showered in days. As he approaches the swings he pulls out a piece of candy and offers it to the girl. She ignores him and keeps on swinging. He offers again and once more he is turned down by the girl who simply ignores him as if he where never there. Now, very aggravated, the man reaches for the girl as she swings, but before he gets the chance to even touch her he is stopped by a voice coming from behind him.
Voice- Hey, what do you think your doing?
The man turns around half surprised and half angry. The man begins to speak but stops before a single syllable can leave his lips. He just stands there looking at the person who was just behind him. For some reason the words are hard to choke out of his mouth but he manages.
Man- I'm just here to pick up my daughter.
Voice- Is that right? I?ve never seen a parent try to persuade their kid off of the swings with candy. Did you read that out of one of those parenting books or something?
Man- She is just being stubborn right now. It?s the only way to get her off those swings. Her mother was addicted to candy you see and ate a lot when she was pregnant with her.
Voice- So your saying that your daughter is addicted to candy as was her mother and now your waving it in her face. Not only doesn?t that sound like a lie but only a desperate pervert would say something like that.
Man- Are you calling me a liar sir?
Voice- No I?m calling you a child molesting basterd and I?m yelling it into your face. Now get out of here before you know the entire meaning of the word desperate.
Throughout this entire exchange of words the girl still swings like they were not right in front of her talking. After the man had heard the voices last words he shot a quick look at the girl and stalked off out of the park. The girl kept swinging as we saw the man that the voice belonged to step into view. We can only see his back as he walks to the old swing set. The man reaches the swing set, turns around, and sits down on the swing next to the one the girl was on. Now his identity is revealed to be none other than Pryme. Pryme appears to be very tired the bags underneath his eyes show the stress of the previous few days. Pryme watches the girl swing for a few moments in peace before he calmly asks her a question.
Pryme- Where are your parents?
Girl- I dont know..
Pryme- Who dropped you off?
Girl- My mom dropped me off this morning
Pryme- She dropped you off this morning? That was a while ago. When is she going to pick you up?
Girl- Dont know
Pryme- Well if its ok I think Ill stay here until she gets here.
Girl- Thats fine, now Ill have someone to play with. So what grade are you in?
Pryme- fifth grade.
The two of them talked a while and the bright day turned to night. The only light came from the street at the far end of the park. The two sat there for a while in the dark the silence was so overwhelming Pryme had to say something.
Pryme- so where do you live?
Girl- around here..
Pryme- so I take it you dont know where you mother is or when she is coming to pick you up.
Girl- not really
Pryme- ?I see??
Pryme set his head in his hands and let out a big sigh. He did not plan to stay out this long nor did he want to. The fact of the matter was that he was tired and depressed off his loss at Halloween Horrors, the stress was clearly visible on his face and he just wanted to go to bed before his match on thunder against Arsenic. The girl looked at the man sitting next to her on the swings and sat quietly. Pryme lifted his head up slowly and looked through his fingers at the girl sitting there next to him. The fact of the matter was no matter how tired he got he still had to watch over this girl until someone came to pick her up. The girl saw how worn down he was and spoke to him.
Girl- Whats wrong? Is it because mommy hasnt come to pick me up yet?
Pryme- No hun, I dont mind waiting here with you. I want to make sure your safe and protected from people like that guy who was here earlier.?
Girl- Then whats wrong? You look like you need a nap.
Pryme- A nap sounds good right now, but I have lots of stuff to deal with right now and I think your too young to understand.
Girl- Go ahead and tell me I want to know whats wrong maybe mommy will be here by time you finish.
Pryme- Well alright, I got in a fight and lost now I dont think Ill be able make it up to everyone.
Girl- You got in a fight, why did you fight him?
Pryme- Because he challenged the very thing I believe in. now I must face the same kind of person. I dont think that after what happened before anyone will be with me in my corner.
Girl- Are you afraid he is going to beat you up, or is it something else?
Pryme- Im not afraid of being beat up. Im afraid he is going to destroy what Im working so hard to accomplish. He is a tough opponent but I?m not afraid to be hurt. I am afraid of letting those around me down. Im afraid of letting everyone down. I dont know if I could take that kind of failure.
Girl- Well youre a good guy, you will win. I have faith in you.
The girl reaches out to Pryme and gives him a hug. Pryme smiles for the first time since his loss at the pay per view and hugs the girl back. Regardless of how things have turned out for him he feels as though everything is ok now. After the hug Pryme looks at the girl and smiles at her
Pryme- I know I sound like a broken record but there is still the fact that I was beat by a bad man. Nothing can change that now.
Girl- You gave it your best shot right? Mommy always tells me that doing that is the only thing that matters. Youre my favorite wrestler Pryme and as long as you try your hardest no one can beat you.
Pryme smiles and pats the girl on the head then he looks out to the street light in the distance. We see Prymes expression change from relaxed to puzzled. As he looks away he thinks for a second and says.
Pryme- Hey, how did you know my....
Pryme stops mid-sentence as he looks over to the place where the girl sat. The girl had vanished. Pryme quickly surveyed the area and no one is seen or heard. As Pryme sat back down on the swings he wondered about what the girl had said. She was most likely one of his fans from the show, but her faith in him was surprising and comforting. Pryme stood up to leave the park, but before he did he surveyed the area one more. No one to be seen or heard. Pryme sighed and was worried about the young girl he might be leaving in the park by herself. He also thought about his match on thunder with arsenic. This match is going to be a tough one but it will test his fortitude and the faith he is putting in his fans.
Pryme- If Arsenic wants a fight hes got one coming. If that little girl still believes in me than so can other people. Maybe Im not alone after all. I still have a shot in this business. Now its time I get some sleep. Ill need it for my match.
As Pryme walks down the street he passes the light post that was lighting his night in the park. We see a little closer to the light post and notice a piece of paper nailed to the pole. On the paper is a picture of the little girl smiling and playing on the swing set and above the picture in big bold letters the word MISSING is printed. Behind the pole we can still see Pryme walking down the street. The light blinks a few times and finally goes out.
Voice- Hey, what do you think your doing?
The man turns around half surprised and half angry. The man begins to speak but stops before a single syllable can leave his lips. He just stands there looking at the person who was just behind him. For some reason the words are hard to choke out of his mouth but he manages.
