The night is young and the stars are shining brightly over a lake. The lake has the reflection coming off of it from the sun’s rays. There are oak trees circling the whole lake and birds are chirping loud and proud. We zoom in over the lake and see a small wooden row boat positioned in the middle of the lake. The motor is not running and the boat is completely motionless. We also notice a shadowed figure standing on the boat. The figure is positioning us to zoom in even farther. We zoom in as close as possible and notice it is VWA Superstar Immune. He starts the motor and brings the row boat to shore. He motions us to get in. we get in the boat and he starts the motor once again and takes us back to the spot he was once in. He shuts off the motor. He leans on the side of the boat sending his fingers sliding the top of the water. He notices a family of fish floating together as one and close to his fingers as well. He watches the fish as he begins to talk.
Immune: Another moment with Immune brought to you be Immune. You all don’t look at it as a privilege to listen to my words of morals. A lot of you don’t listen to what I have to say when I prepare my speeches week in and week out. That’s okay though because we all know that actions speak louder than words. You all know what I am capable of doing in the middle of the ring. On October 30th you all will witness a match so destructible and so chaotic that you will realize only the strong survive. This is the wild not any kind of a nursery. When you step through those ropes at Halloween Horrors and stare your opponents down from across the ring. Then you hear the cage slowly begin to come down. You know all hell is about to break loose and there is going to be no escape from the pain until one team vouches victorious of the cage of terror.
Immune then pulls his other hand over to the side of the boat and puts his hands in a cup positioning. He then watches as he sinks his hands into the water. His cupped hands are lying underneath the family of fish. He slowly moves his hands up and he watches as a few of the fish scatter in terror. With a swift moments time Immune launches his hands through the water and captures a fish in his hand and out of the water. Immune watches as the fish struggles to breathe and is bouncing around everywhere in his hand. Eventually the fish stops hopping around and lays there patiently to die. You can see the gills on the fish get bigger and bigger with each breath as it tries to gather oxygen so it can continue to live. Immune then begins to speak while starring down at the motionless fish.
Immune: We watch as the young grow old. We watch a body grow brittle with each year clamped onto it. We enjoy life until we figure it is our time to go or until some of us decide we want to go now. We know life isn’t for eternity and we realize that life is a bit unfair at times. Let us consider one thing. A lot of you fans out there do not like the choice I made when I joined the Impact Players. A lot of you didn’t back me up with my decision and go with the flow. A lot of you turned your back on me and booed me the following week as I walked out to the ring. Why do all of you boo me? Is it because my actions or because of my words I directed towards you. I spoke from my heart and issued myself to you with every word I spoke that night. The best part about it is I quite frankly didn’t care how you all felt about my career move. The other best part about that night is when I informed all of you I don’t care about your feelings anymore. I care about two things and two things only. One is making a name for myself and making into the Valor record books. Number two is to eventually rule Valor as the VWA World Heavyweight Champion, which is around the waist of my newly formed best friend, Brandon Bailey.
Immune then drops the fish back into the water. The fish is motionless at first but then absorbs the water into its gills and floats back over with its family. Immune watches the fish for a few moments and watches as the fish circle the one that was abducted by Immune. Immune then starts circling his finger through the top of the water once again and begins to speak.
Immune: Now if you can see the fish that are floating in the water like I can see them you see they are watching each other’s back. That is the tension we have in the Impact Players. We watch each other’s back and inform each other if people talk $hit. Now a lot of people like to look at the number one contender for the VWA North American Championship to turn his back on the Impact Players. They would like for him to jump the champion and injure the champion for their match. That isn’t the way Saint is at all. When he gets his opportunity he wants the champion healthy so there is no confrontation about the match result. That is why the Impact Players brought him into the group because he is a real man. They brought me into it seeing me down in the dumps about my win/loss record here in Valor. Bailey approached me in the hall one day with the opportunity of a lifetime, an opportunity to be apart of the most powerful stable in all of wrestling. I got accepted after doing the unbelievable. I took out my best friend at the time ZMaster and ruined his shot at the Valor World Championship.
Immune then takes his hands out of the water and turns toward us. He then reaches down between his legs under the seat in the boat. He pulls out the black leather briefcase that carries his North American Championship in it. He unbuckles the latches and opens the briefcase. He lays the briefcase on the floor of the boat. He reaches down and pulls out the title. He stretches it across his shoulder and rolls his shoulders. He looks back at us and begins to speak.
Immune: You see the Impact Players saw me as an opportunist. They knew what I had to offer and what I could bring to the table. I just needed some guidance from a real leader and competitor known as Brandon Bailey. That is something I couldn’t be taught from ZMaster. Brandon showed me everything about Valor. He showed me the true meaning of family. Saint and I haven’t always seen eye to eye, but the faction of the Impact Players has taught us to watch each other’s back in the wrestling ring. Saint realizes he is the number one contender for my title and he realizes his shot is coming. He is waiting patiently as I destroy all other competitors that come for my title such as Eric Hardcastle.
Immune has a blue cooler with a white lid behind him. He turns around and pushes the lid up and reaches his hand into the icy water. He pulls out a Budweiser and closes the lid back up. He pops the lid off of the bottle and takes a swig out of the beer. He places the beer bottle back on top of the cooler’s lid. He then gradually begins to speak.
Immune: Wow, Hardcastle the “Prodigal Messiah” and the icon of wrestling. This man has been in so many wars and brawls that he is the hardcore legend of Valor. The only problem about being him is he has no gold around his waist. He thought he would take a strike at the newest member of the Impact Players and try to send a message to the leader of the Impact Players and the World Champion, but he was wrong. You see the first time Hardcastle and I stepped into the ring it was kind of a one sided victory, but the second time the record was written a little differently. He might have got disqualified in our match but the point of the matter is this. In the books it shows Immune as the winner of that match and it shows Immune keeping the NA Championship around his waist. He was my first challenger for the title and I defended it successfully. I proved to the world that the Prodigal Messiah can be beaten in the middle of any ring on any night. I proved myself among the Impact Players once again.
Immune grasps the bottle again and takes another swig of it. We watch as the foam reaches the edge of the top of the bottle before settling down when he places the bottle back down on the lid of the cooler. He then pulls out a towel and wipes down the gold plate of the belt. He then begins to speak.
Immune: Everyone in this match that I know of has been in a match with me. All of them have fallen to me. It could be in Valor or outside of Valor, but the point of the matter is I have beaten everyone in the match. This proves they aren’t God’s of wrestling. They can be beaten and by the hands of Bailey’s Brigade. This is the time that everyone shines upon the greats. If you want to be remember you have to make an impact and that is what the Impact Players are all about. We plan on demolishing our competition and proving ourselves not to the greats but as the greats. I mean look at the talent we have on our side. We have the powerhouse, Ron Tibbs. We have the crazy one, Sin City Saint. We got the Animal, Immune. We got the Valor World Heavyweight Champion, Bailey. We also still have a secret weapon to unleash. We have the talent going into the pay per view and we have the win after the pay per view.
Immune then gently picks up the belt off of his shoulder. He folds in the leather straps of the belt and cross them together behind the gold plate. He lays the belt in his lap and stares at the name engraved in the belt. He then begins to speak.
Immune: I was always told being a champion makes you a marked man. So seeing that the Impact Players hold all the gold does that make us the marked faction of Valor? Z’s Army is going into the war without any automatic weapons, only handguns. Bailey’s Brigade holds all the power of the war and plan to show no mercy on the opponents in this war. ZMaster you made the comment I made a wrong decision going to the Impact Players. You said I don’t have what it takes to beat you one on one. You like to look at my win over Creeper for his title a fluke. Point of the matter is I am the VWA NA Champion and thanks to me the World title is still in the hands of Brandon Bailey not you. I will show no remorse on you ZMaster. You say I wanted a stable with you; well you are correct on that. It just never seemed to happen did it. Joining you I wouldn’t be as powerful as I am now. Joining the Impact Players was the biggest career move of my life. All it took was throwing away our friendship, what a bargain!
Immune places the gold down into the briefcase and pets the gold plate. He then uses the towel to clear away the smudge marks from his fingerprints. He closes the briefcase and latches the buckles on the briefcase. He slides the briefcase back under the seat in the boat. He puts his hands together and looks at us. He then begins to speak.
Immune: Come October 30th hell is going to be established within Valor. All hell is going to break loose and don’t be surprised to see careers being ended after this match. Bailey’s Brigade is going to bring its all and we hope Z’s Army brings all they got. This match is going down in record books. The only bad thing about this match is everyone already knows the outcome of the match, having the Impact Players as the winners.
Immune reaches back and grabs the beer bottle again. We look at the bottle and notice there is about half a bottle of the beer left. Immune holds out the bottle in our face. He begins to speak.
Immune: I would like to make a toast. We as the Bailey’s Brigade solemnly swear to come out the winners of the cage of terror. We dedicate this match to the people that truly matter, they are known as the Impact Players.
Immune then tips his head back and chugs the beer all the way until the last very drop. He lowers the bottle from his lips. He licks his lips to get the beer off his face. He lets out a huge belch and continues to talk.
Immune: Z’s Army has a secret weapon of their own. Wow I wonder who it could be. I don’t truly care if it was a world champion from another federation or if it happened to be Hulk Hogan himself. One man is not going to change the outcome of this match. Z’s Army is going down and that is a fact from Immune. Finally we come to the man that has beaten me on several occasions, Saku. The only difference is the last time we got in the ring I came out vicious and October 30th will be no different. I am going to make you all a promise and an Immune promise you can keep in your hearts for eternity. The Impact Players will come out victorious on October 30th, 2005 in the biggest main event of the year, the cage of terror, on the biggest stage of the year, Halloween Horrors.
Immune tosses the empty bottle over the side of the boat. He reaches back and pulls the cord of the motor. The motor starts up and he drives back towards the dock. He steps out of the boat when we come to the dock. He has his briefcase in hand and walks down the dock to the main ground. He walks to the street and gets in his car. He puts his sunglasses on his head that were in his console. He starts the car and peels away down the road. We cut to commercial looking out over the water.
