[Fade in]
[It's a glorious day in West Mars, Pennsylvania. The sun is shining and the birds are chirping. The people in town have a little extra "get up" in their steps and bright smiles on their faces. Coming out of Gruber's pharmacy is Shane Quickenbosh, the hometown hero. In his hand is a pack of gum that he purchased. He unwraps the package and takes a piece out. He runs the stick of gum under his nose and inhales the scent, before placing the stick in his mouth. Quickenbosh walks up the trash bin, sitting on the sidewalk and tosses his garbage away. He throws the pack of gum into his pocket and stands triumphant, looking over the town. An elderly man, using a walker for assistance, hobbles behind Quickenbosh and pats him on the back. Quickenbosh turns and sees the man. The man gives Quickenbosh the thumbs up and smiles. Shane opens the door to Gruber's, holding it open for the elderly. Shane makes sure the man gets inside and then closes the door behind him.]
Quickenbosh:
Its a glorious day in West Mars. Look around this small town, my town. Everything seems to be just that much brighter. Maybe because I did exactly what I said I would do. I went into Valor Before Glory, last Sunday, and gave it everything I had. 110%. And in the end, when that bell rang, I was emerged as the victor. Will Dinero, you gave me a huge run for my money. We went out there and put on a wrestling clinic. Hold and counter hold. For the first 15 minutes, neither one of us could really establish any type of offense on the other. I will always remember this match, Will. I was honored to step into the ring and show the Valor fans, just exactly what the Junior Heavyweights can do. So, thank you.
Quickenbosh:
Now, onto the matters at hand. This Sunday, history is going to repeat itself. The repeat comes in the form of Will Dinero teaming up with me. How ironic, isn't it? Last week, Will and I had to go out there as opponents. And this week, Valor officials, saw it fit to pair us up in a tag team. Let me say this, first and foremost, I couldn't ask for a better partner. We know one another like the back of our own hands. And that is going to be a huge advantage against our new opponents. Shane O'Riley and Havok haven't been with Valor for very long. In fact, this is their very first match within the company. Havok and O'Riley, the two of you have the unenviable task of facing the two best Junior Heavyweights, on the planet today. I hope that the four of us can go out there and put on a performance, that the fans of Valor will never forget. And I think we will do, just that.
[Quickenbosh finishes chewing his gum and tosses it into the trash can. He begins to walk down the sidewalk and is greeted by several folks who live in West Mars. They each offer their praise and recognition and wish him the best of luck. Shane is cordial, smiling and shaking hands.]
Quickenbosh:
Havok, for someone who hasn't been in Valor all that long......well, you sure seem to think you know a whole lot about it. And you sure seem to think you know a lot about myself and Will Dinero. The truth is that Havok does not. Havok, consider this. Just because Dinero and myself went to war last week, doesn't mean that we can't work as a cohesive unit this week. Dinero and I are professionals with a competitive spirit. He wanted to win, just as bad as I did at Valor Before Glory. But we all know, there can be only one winner. This Sunday, it will be no different. Will Dinero wants to win this match, just as bad as I do. And this Sunday, there can be only one winner. I have no hate for Will Dinero. When you look into these eyes, you see nothing but respect. Respect for a man that took me to the limit, this past Sunday. Took me to the limit, like he has done so many times before, as I have he. Do not confuse respect for hate. They are truly on the opposite scale of gambit of emotion. Havok, you and O'Riley are going to find that out, first hand this Sunday. At Sunday Night Slam, my most respected opponent becomes my most respected partner. I couldn't ask for a better one. We intend to prove just how good we are this Sunday. Havok and O'Riley........just remember, lightning.............it has a habit of striking........when you least expect it.
[Quickenbosh throws his fists into the air and grins. Dropping his hands to the side, he continues walking down the sidewalk. He is greeted by several more hometown folks and obliges them with smiles and autographs.]
